Brilliant stay

We stayed Dec 9-11 we had a great stay walked to Dunster for the Christmas fair and wonder around a lovely village also into Minehead for a little shopping a a few drinks The site is as usual for a club site immaculate clean and shower rooms warm always a plus The wardens were friendly and helpful especially on Sunday when our camper would not start they could not do enough for us and whilst we waited for recovery told us to hook back up to keep warm , they were away cleaning when we got started so could not thank them at the time, your friendliness & patience was much appreciated on a cold dank morning we have stayed here 3 times summer and winter it’s always great and we will be back Thank you

Wonderful gem of a site - we will be back!

We stayed here in August over the Bank Holiday weekend and were pleasantly surprised at how peaceful the site was. Friendly welcome on arrival, immaculate facilities and spacious pitches. We didn't walk into town but it was an easy 5 minute cycle to the beach. Minehead itself is bustling with old cottages by the harbour, with a fabulous main shopping street and a beautiful old town area on North Hill. There are lots of places to visit nearby and a little further afield. We managed to visit Dunkery Beacon, Porlock Weir, Lynmouth, Valley of Rocks and Tarr Steps, as well as spending time wandering around Minehead itself. The scenery in Exmoor is beautiful and there were plenty more places to visit so we've booked to go back next year!

A very quiet and pleasant stay

We had originally booked for two nights and enjoyed our stay that much we stayed an extra night. Even though the site was full there was no issue with accommodating us. The site is quiet and well laid out with plenty of drinking water and grey water disposal sites. The staff were pleasant and helpful and all the facilities were spotless and working. I was not aware that the warden even had a dog so I can't understand what the other reviewer was taking about, there was certainly no barking while we were there. Plenty of takeaway within a short walk from the site and the seafront was 15 minutes walk away. We would definitely recommend and use again.

Nice Stay

Enjoyed a 4-night stay at Minehead. Although a small site it felt quite cosy with its cul-de-sacs. The pitches were mostly flat or had slight slopes that will require ramps. Wardens were helpful and courteous on arrival, giving us info to our questions, or directing us to the well laid out info room. Facilities were normal Club site decor and were kept clean and tidy. Walked to Blue Anchor along the coastal path and also through the woods (hilly in places) to Dunster Castle, and the pretty Dunster Village. Minehead itself, whilst dominated by Butlins, was a nice little town with plenty of independent shops and cafes. It's a 15m walk to a Tesco's to stock up. Would certainly recommend this site

Pleasant stay

We only stayed overnight to break our journey but found the site very pleasant, good clean facilities good location and good staff. A short walk to local shops and eateries. We have not explored the area before but will definitely return to this site to do that. We had a good quiet night.

Not Great Sadly, read review.

There are many good points attributable to this site but some of the bad points are, bins overflowing creating many flies, only one WC emptying point creating a long walk for many pitches, water pressure that takes ages to fill the aqua roll, just hope its not raining and probably worst of all is the wardens dog which lies in the caravan compound and barks incessantly at everyone who walks past, which is basically everyone as its at the entrance to the park, when I confronted the warden that the dog starts just after 7 in the morning and can often be heard until after 10 in the evening the rude response was’ it’s a dog, it barks’ to which I wanted to say that maybe some training would be good but sadly she had just turned and walked off, another episode of the frequent tale now of how wardens are often rude and abrasive to members. So if you want any peace and quiet this is not the site for you.

Some pitches up a steep path

We arrived circa 4pm to find the site almost full. Only pitches left were at the very top of the steep site. Walk up and down to shower and amenities block was therefore quite a workout! Also a bit concerned re security - no barrier or code for shower block. As the site is on outskirts of Minehead this is OK perhaps but felt a bit vulnerable nontheless. Wardens seemed very pleasant and site well maintained.
