Good clean site in a convenient location

We stayed here just on the tail end of the first Beast from the East. The site manager kept us informed of the snow conditions on site, and even undertook to ring us an hour before we set out from home, to give us a report on the latest snow conditions on site. When we arrived we were given time to select our pitch, and the check in process was quick and easy. The site and toilet / shower block were immaculate, and the later was nice and warm. The site is well located for walking to Tesco, Morrisons and LIDL. Also Indian restaurant and chip chop and CO-OP are a few minutes walk away. The main shopping area, and esplanade were walkable within 15-20 minutes walk. Bus stops for other places along the coast were within 10 minutes walk. There is a steam railway, with a station in Minehead. We walked along the coast to Dunster Castle and back and Dunster village is pretty with quaint buildings and cafes. Another day we caught the bus to Porlock, and walked down to Porlock Weir through the woods, about 2 miles, where we found a delightful pub, The Bottom Ship Inn, full of character, with a thatched roof, and bustling with customers even at midday on Thursday. On another day we caught the bus to Watchet, a pretty harbour and village, and enjoyed a lovely cream tea. On Saturday we did the Minehead Parkrun, 5k along the esplanade, with 90 other keen joggers. All in all we had a great time, and will definately be returning soon
