For goodness sake, it’s an ordinary Devon road. It’s what you find in the rural Westcountry. Whatever you do, do not attempt to visit the Start Bay site as you'll never cope!
Why think the worst of the motorhomers? Isn’t it more likely they were returning from a day out and then heading off in the morning? I’m sure the wardens would have noticed any nefarious activity.
So, what did you think of the site?

Thank you so much for your response to this review. We are the wardens Debbie & Richard and this is our 1st season on what we think is a gorgeous site in a beautiful area. Yes the roads are narrow but as long as you take care are doable. As for the comment regarding Motorhomes you are spot on, it is just visitors maximising their stay with us, is it to be believed this person stayed up late & rose early just to witness other people movements?

Had to laugh when I first read that review, and again at the replies. Don't people visiting Devon towing a Caravan or driving a large Motorhome check out the roads, access and notwhat before booking ? Commonsense really, and not everybody else's fault. A bit mean to give a bad review purely on directions, as the actual excellence of the site was not mentioned.

I can’t understand why people slate a campsite when they obviously can’t drive with a caravan and it sounds to me they should take a caravan reversing school. Yes the road was quite busy and it had a few narrow bits but for goodness sake your in Devon and that’s what the roads are like. I managed to drive my motor home and car in tow with no problems and bare in mind you can’t reverse with this rig. I managed it okay and made other road users reverse if necessary! Anyway that has nothing to do with the excellent campsite at the end of the drive.
what a lovely place it was. Five stars plus to debs and Richard who where just amazing wardens. The campsite itself is just lovely and loads of large pitches, which where very well maintained and top notch. I agree the toilet block was a bit outdated but extremely well cleaned and the disabled toilet/ shower room was very roomy and thoughtful about disabled people and probably the best I’ve come across. My wife and I had a great two weeks even though the weather was not so good we enjoyed the tranquil peace and quiet of the site and the wardens where just fantastic!
cant wait to visit again later in the year!
