Bit of an odd access road to the site but once you’ve negotiated the unusual roundabout exit it’s fine. Such a well maintained site and great having the top and bottom fields as two areas for overnighters and longer staying visitors. We stayed on the lower one where all the pitches were of a really good size. We have a fifth wheel and access on to the pitches was brilliant for us. Yes the shower and toilets blocks are dated but immaculate and checked frequently. There are wash up facilities if you want to use them and also a laundry room. The small shop was well stocked and very reasonable prices if you do forget anything and the fresh herbs growing outside for anyone to help themselves to is such a great idea and we certainly made use of them. There are bins and recycling which was emptied regularly and kept tidy. Would be good if there was a compost bin - perhaps one for the future Location for Winchester is perfect and definitely worth a trip to. Lots to see and do all round the site. We will definitely be returning for a better look round and a trip on the watercress line!!
