Absolutely Stunning!

You are surrounded by mountains. Every view from the caravan window was fabulous. We watched deer on the mountains from the caravan window with the binoculars. Kyle of Lochalsh has great views over the Loch and the bridge to Skye. Good sized co op for provisions and Costa machine and probably the best fish and chips on the planet! Skye is a must. We had gorgeous weather and visited Portree , other landmarks and even went wild swimming in the Fairy Pools. Plockton is well worth a visit , we launched our paddle board there and had a fabulous lunch on a terrace with beautiful views over the bay. We caught the train on the Kyle line to Inverness and the journey along the coast and lochs was wonderful. Lots of walks from the site, both easy and more challenging, all printed on A4 in the information room. There is a viewpoint at the cemetery at the end of the road that’s well worth the very short walk too. We loved our stay here!

Beautiful location with stunning scenery

Stayed here for a week and the site is set in stunning scenery in a valley surrounded by mountains. Stags were roaring at each other across the valley every night and came down into the fields next to the site, we saw golden eagles flying overhead and it is a good location for seeing that area of Scotland from. The wardens were very friendly and helpful, the facilities although a little dated were spotless and well maintained. If you could book the weather this would be the icing on the cake but for us it rained for a week and at one point we did have some water come up into the awning as we were pitched at the far end of the site although it did drain away once the rain eased for a while. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend it as a site to visit

A beautiful place

This was our second visit to Morvich and on each occasion we have been stunned by the beauty of the area surrounding the site. The site was full each night and the team did an excellent job, providing a warm and friendly welcome. Spotless facilities. Wonderful walks from the site and we were lucky to have good weather enabling us to get some fantastic views. We very much hope to have another visit in the future.

Fabulous place

A beautiful place with extremely friendly wardens. Good choice of pitches and everywhere was clean and tidy. Despite the howling wind we felt safe and secure. Great facilities which were immaculate. Good local shop a short walk away. Great base for walking.

Great campsite for a peaceful break

We arrived late so didn’t have the best pitch initially (may work for some people as opposite the toilet block) however the wardens were so helpful in enabling a move the following morning. We only had two nights and would have loved longer to enjoy the amazing scenery and walks.

Stunning

We stayed here for a week in Sept, firstly it's not long enough to see and visit all the wonderful places close to the site so we will be back. We visited Skye and Kyle of Lochalsh both if which are very close. We also completed part of the NC500 (by car) to Applecross. Stunning but not for nervous drivers or anyone who doesn't like heights. Another lovely unspoilt old fishing village is Plockton, again well worth a visit. Lastly Loch Ness (didn't see Nessie) and Fort Augustus where we spent a lovely few hours watching the boats navigating the locks on the Caledonian Canal. We are not hikers but the stunning scenery and the amazing night sky on a clear night made Morvich well worth a visit.

Excellent site and excellent friendly wardens

We were made to feel welcomed the moment we arrived at the site by the friendly wardens. Wardens like this give the C&M Club a good name nothing was to much for them. The very well kept site itself is located in fantastic, beautiful surroundings amongst the mountains and on a river with easy access to this further up the road. Deer were spotted daily from the site and only 1 miles to the local shop. The facilities might be a little dated compared to other sites but it offers far more with family room and well used drying room. Overall excellent wilderness site.

Perfect for a quiet getaway

For those seeking an excellently-maintained base in a stunning corner of North West Scotland, the Morvich Caravan Club Site is the perfect location. Close to the Isle of Skye and many secluded and remote sea lochs, as well as spectacular mountain ranges, Morvich will be hard to beat if walking, cycling, touring, nature-watching or simply relaxing and unwinding is what you are seeking. The site itself is well serviced and maintained by attentive and friendly staff who are happy to engage in conversation or respect your privacy - your choice. We stayed four nights - it will be longer next time, and that can't come soon enough.

morvich site. july 2021

lovely drive up thru the mountains to reach the site. site facilities clean enough but not enough of them . usual story , not enough showers and shut at stupid times for cleaning , inconvienient for patrons. Trees and shrubbery have been allowed to grow too high and wild thereby blotting out all the beautiful mountains. Good for mountainbikers and theres a lovely circular walk out of the site clockwise , past the local graveyard , takes around an hour. Site is a bit isolated so take plenty grub with you if you do not want to drive to civilisation. Plenty summer midges there too , so dont expect to be sitting out of an evening with a newspaper and bottle of beer. summarise , nice located quiet site , not really child friendly and in need of a enthusiastic arborist. Glad to have spent 4 nights there chilling ,but i dont think its a site i would visit again. ps no probs with the wardens ,they were great .
