Lovely clean, friendly site

This is my second stay, the first stay was out of season, this was in August.  I don't have children but it looks like they are well catered for and it was lovely to see happy children. The site was very busy, almost every pitch full but the toilet blocks were kept clean, lots of hot water, I can not fault them.  The fish and chip van visits on Wednesdays and Saturdays and although it was a long queue the chips and mushy peas were lovely.  Two dog walks to exercise the dogs but an easy walk into the New Forest from here. I have read some reviews that have moaned about dogs barking, I have 3 but they bark from time to time, usually when a bike bell rings or if other dogs walk past but we tell them no. I was not aware of excessive barking, nor was I aware of unruly children, just families having fun. The wardens were busy, bins emptied more than nice a day, busy little shop, helpful advice all with a cheerful and pleasant manner.  Looking forward to coming back to this site.

Great Site

We have been to this site on a yearly basis since it opened and it is great. Wardens always pleasant and helpful. As expected with school holidays there were plenty of children around many who appear to have lost any kind of road sense and use the site roadways as if no other traffic exists, sadly an accident waiting to happen. We will be back.

Wonderful Campsite

We recently stayed at this campsite, and can honestly say, it was fantastic! The wardens were so friendly & helpful, the pitch was perfect, we had our small dog with us, and I highly recommend this site for dog owners, it has 3 lovely walking areas on the site, and our little dog was even allowed in the shop, where he got lots of fuss, he LOVED his stay too. The shower blocks were clean, and plenty of them, never had to queue, all the other facilities were fantastic too, and the little shop sold everything you could think off. A great weekend, thank you Shelley, Adam & Ernie x

One night stopover

We chose this site last minute as it was near to Lymington. They had an electric hook up pitch on grass. We searched round & found one of 2 in a peaceful spot. It was a pitch not intended for an awning but that did not bother us as we had a motorhome. The site was well organised & quite at night. There were lots of children on bikes riding headlong towards you against the one way system, which was a bit worrying. The motorhome waste emptying point was a bit difficult to manoeuvre over & when you did you had to lift the cover off to use it. We would use this site again as it was nicely located.

Another Enjoyable Stay

We stayed for the second time at this site and again thoroughly enjoyed it. Yes it is on the edge of the forest but walks are plentiful from the site and a short drive can take you to all sorts of lovely spots. The site is very well maintained (didn't see evidence of poor maintenance as per some of the reviews) and the showers were always spotless. The toddler shower room is also a blessing and was perfect for showering with our little one. We are dog owners and did notice that some owners failed to pick up their dogs mess in the dog walking areas. Please don't spoil it for others and end up with the CC banning dogs due to your behaviour! Just in response to a few peoples comments, some people seem to think that the CC is for retired adults only but caravanning is for everyone, children and dogs too! Lets all respect the CC rules and get along together in order to continue enjoying the CC sites!

Poor site

Nice site but not the best site we have stayed at, we payed for wifi but it has to be the worst site for the connection, we have two dogs and we are out most of the time and we came back in one day and the warden told us of for the dogs barking but it was hot day he told us that if he could hear them barking so would every body else  I don't know what we could have done we don't have young children but we could hear them shouting and screaming but we didn't complain about that and also the wardens don't seem to say anything when drives are going around the site doing more then 5 mph like 10-15 mph which would killing a child at that speed but are dogs barking wouldn't kill a child for barking, we also got over charged for an extra adult and not a child  which it states that child prices are up to 17 and not 16  are son is 17 so that means that we should pay for a adult price for him until he's is 18 we did get this sorted out but it was from one of the woman wardens who over charged us and we have herd that it's still happening after all it was £85 that it was over charged with us which is a lot of money to any body but if this woman is doing this to most people it would make the club a lot of money over the year and not every body would be able to afford the extra money so for these reasons we wouldn't be coming be to this site again. One last thing I would just like to say for every body to check their bills.

Kennels or Club Site?

We have been staying on this site for a number of years, and sometimes twice a year because we love the area and all it has to offer.   However it seems that whenever we stay there, more and more dogs have appeared.   We are not dog owners but always seem to be SURROUNDED by YAPPING little dogs who bark all day.  Sometimes sitting in our van trying to read and have some peace is impossible - almost as if we are staying at a Kennels!   This site is a huge site - why can't the Caravan Club section off one part for those of us who do not have dogs?

Don't forget your bikes

Just returned.  We were probably the only ones without a bike!  Huge site.  Got used to it eventually. Busy reception & wardens busy.  We had a great pitch on the new area "mosquito".  Loads of grass behind backing on to wild flowers & land.  Used co-op in Bransgore a couple of miles away which was good.  Our phones did not work hardly and could not get 3G.  Big dog walk in meadow was great.

Brilliant for families

First visit to this site and we loved it that much, that we have booked to go again in couple of weeks! Staff were very friendly, always "high fiving" the kids. We have two young girls and they loved the park, and made friends very quickly. Good location for any type of holiday, walks, beach, shops etc. are not far away at all. Shower block very clean, kids bathroom was so handy!!! We also had fantastic wifi,4g!! Pitch 9!!I can't leave a review without praising the croissants and bread that was available in the shop in the mornings!! Delicious!! See you really soon!
