Good for families

Ok for a short break.

With limited facilities and a fairly remote location there's not a lot to get excited about on this site. Given it's elevated position the views are fairly poor due to the trees screening the site. A couple of miles to the nearest pub down a steep hill means a car journey is essential, walking or cycling would be hard work. Access is very easy albeit via a couple of steep hills on approach. Arriving from the north or south route seemed fairly similar on degree of difficulty, not too bad. The plus points are the access to the local attractions such as Whitby and the coast, the N.Yorks moors railway and heritage sites in the area. The site was fairly cheap and served the purpose of a weekend pull up but there are better sites locally with better facilities and views.
