Loved this site

Having had our April stay cancelled, we made our first trip in a year close to home. Very easy check in - don't forget your mask. Absolutely lovely wardens who helped us find the perfect shady spot and told us about the lovely dog walks in the area. Gorgeous flower displays to welcome arrivals. We thought the site was very well kept; it was one of the friendliest we have been to for a long time. Short dog walk on site suitable for night and morning visits and a few necessaries for sale in reception. Missed the book exchange but we live in challenging times. Only downside was the boy racers using the road by the side of the site as a testing track on the Saturday. If we had pitched the far side of the site, I suspect it wouldn't have been so intrusive. One thing to mention - if, like us, you have a noise adverse dog, there seems to be a local pistol range and this was very apparent on Saturday afternoon. It might also have been less obvious if we had pitched the far side of the site. We only came for the weekend so didn't have the chance to do much local visiting - the beaches were, apparently, very crowded (hot weekend). We thoroughly recommend this site and, if the weather holds, hope to make another visit in October.
