4 nights 11-14 03-16

I stayed for 4 nights on the 1st week of opening and enjoyed my time there the pub is 2 mins walk and does very good food and drinks . The roads on site are quit tight making backing into the hard standings tight if your a poor reverser without a motermover but my van and car are 50ft and parked without any probs. This is a loverley area if you enjoy walking and history with loads of castles and monistaries within a sensible drive . will def go back to this site

Recent three night stay

Warm welcome. Although the other side of the embankment, road noise during day was more intrusive than the more than occasional train. Superb view of surrounding countryside and handy pub almost on the doorstep. No ball games or cycling make it not very child friendly. Would be difficult to get onto pitch if full without going on grass which can all to easily result in motorhomes needing a tow in wet weather which rather defeats the point of a hardstabnding

Autumn weekend

We recently spent two nights at Pandy, it was our first visit.  Very well located especially as there is a good pub so close!! Nice dog walk and friendly wardens.  We did not notice the trains the first night (Saturday night) but we did notice a couple on the second night.  All in all we enjoyed and would go back!

Another lovely stay at Pandy

Stayed for eight nights and enjoyed all but the last night. Nice walks direct from the site, excellent very local pub with reasonably priced food and ales. Wardens doing at great job of site maintenence and cleanliness of facilities. Hard standing pitches are small if you have a big outfit unless like us you opt for the large hard standing by the exit with a large lawned area adjacent It was very quiet being pre-half term week, which was great. It was a shame the dog owners who pitched next to us on the last night mistook the grass at the back of our caravan as a dog walk! Glad it was our last night.

Excellent location

We stayed for 4days and ran out of time to do all the things available. Great area for industrial archaeology-the drive from Llanfoist wharf over the Blorenge (you must stop at the site of Garn Ddyrys forge) to Blaenavon is stunning. We enjoyed a day out by train to Cardiff-so much to see and do, the waterfront and arcades are a delight. We also did a stunning local walk, and a round trip to Hay on Wye. Site clean and pleasant staff friendly and helpful,as usual on a club site. The railway line nearby was not a problem and added a little interest.

Perfect location!

We had a very pleasant stay at this campsite. For us it was a perfect location for cycling to Hay-on-Wye. The owners were very friendly and helpfull. Recommended!

Our stay at Pandy Caravan Club Site.

Myself and my partner had a very enjoyable stay at Pandy for three nights recently. The site was very clean and tidy and the toilet/shower block was more than up to the standard of all the caravan club sites that we have been to in the last year. I can highly recommend the Old Pandy Inn for an evening meal as it is only across the road from the site and is very reasonably priced. Ideally positioned between Abergavenny and Merthyr Tydfil, there are various places to visit so one is spoilt for choice. On the Sunday we went for a day out to The Big Pit, which was extremely interesting.

A pleasure to stay at

Sometimes it's difficult to define what make an exceptional site - but whatever it is you'll find it at Pandy. We only stayed one night but we found it so very relaxing. We even enjoyed the passing trains which pass very quickly! The pub is a bonus, we enjoyed a very good Sunday lunch in a stress free atmosphere.

Lovely little site

Beautiful location for walking and cycling. The site is small but well-laid out and very well maintained.  The well-documented railway noise was not a problem for us at all.  We had two evening meals at the nearby and dog-friendly Old Pandy Inn - great value, excellent quality and friendly service.  We will definitely return.

Pandy

as most of your reviews say A Great site. It states in the hand book that the site is next to railway line and that passenger trains don't run at night, Its a shame the c.v. club fails to mention about the the goods trains that run all through the night. and in to days world with the no smoking ban in many places, its a shame when on site to have to endure other peoples smoke on lovely sunny days when one wishes to sit out side . Id rather smell the smells of the country side, that to have to endure the smoke of other peoples bad habits ...
