Warm welcome from wardens still enthusiastic at the very end of the season

We love this site and visit two or three times a year as it's only 45 minutes from home. The grounds and facilities are immaculately kept by Bill and Julie, the friendly helpful wardens who are a credit to the Club. The riverside dog walk is more than adequate for 'first and last' walks but there are some fantastic longer walks with amazing views directly from the site. The Pandy Inn is about 500 yards from the site but we'd recommend the small, old-fashioned Carpenters Arms which is a 45 minute walk or a couple of miles by car. The food is truly homemade and delicious. Booking recommended. Although the toilet and shower block is kept spotlessly clean, it is showing its age. The showers were exceptionally hot and powerful though! Can't wait to visit again in spring 2019.

Third stop of Wales road trip

We first visited this site over twenty years ago when we had a caravan. Now we have a campervan (Trigano Tribute) This year for our two weeks hols we decided to do a memory lane trip also taking in some new places! This was our third stop 17th September lovely greeting from the wardens and the site is lovely facilities spotless brilliant dog walk (we dont have a dog but always check them out as we hope to have one when we can stop working!) the play area for the kiddies is a small field great idea instead of the usual climbing frames etc! Well recommended site pub close by serves good food.

How a Club Site should be kept

This site is a shining example of how a Club site should be run 1. A great welcome and an effortless check in 2. The grounds on this site are immaculate 3.The shower block is dated , but is super clean and cobweb free inside and outside 4.The wardens are a fountain of knowledge 5. The pitches are absolutely superb not a weed insight 6.The dog walk is a short walk by a small river, just right for a Westie 7. All wardens should visit this site and take note , this site should be the standard for all sites 8. Thanks for a wonderful stay Steve and Gloria

Beautiful well kept site by exceptional wardens.

Spacious site with walks to local hills. The toilet block is very dated but always kept clean. The shower heads are detachable from the wall and can give a powerful jet,no dribbles high up on a wall. The noise from the trains only last a short time and never disturb.Abergavnny is a short 5 mile drive and well worth a visit. If you have a motorhome there is a bus stop for Abergavenny and Hereford. Do not take the road close by sign posted Hay on Rye ,it is single track for 19 miles and unless you enjoy the tension of what’s around the next corner . I lost count how many times I met a tractor and had to reverse. I found it a lot easier to go via Abergavenny.

Really lovely site

Super site, as is usual in our experience with the Caravan and Motorhome club. The dog walk was better than most and being able to hear the babbling river while sat in the sun with a glass of wine was just what we needed. Lovely break. Trains were not a problem, they go by so fast you are hardly aware of them. Wardens were really helpful and kept the site and facilities clean. Highly recommended.

Easy Pandy location

Pandy is close to all needed in the area and straight on main roads, for easy access anywhere. Nice site layout and if you like trains stay on the left. Good local shop out of gate turn left 2 miles and The Rising Sun pub, good food out gate turn right and right on main road 1 mile. All clean and friendly and worth staying at.

Lovely site with amazing Wardens

This site really is a little gem for those wanting some peace and quiet. Yes there is a train line nearby but it is not a problem at all. Yes the shower block is a bit dated and in need of a refurb but it is kept perfectly clean and tidy. The Wardens, Bill & Julie, truly are amazing! The greeting is so very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble for them. They work incredibly hard to maintain the site to the high standards they have set themselves. They really are a credit to the club, it is a shame they can't be cloned! There is plenty to do on foot from site, Abergevanny and Hereford are a short bus ride away. The pub located near to site are trying their best and it is worth paying a visit to. The Skirrid Inn is approximately a 30 mins gentle stroll away, apparently the oldest pub in Wales. We cannot wait to return to this wonderful site.

Another great stay.

A brief two night stay for a cycle race early on Sunday. An excellent site, well run, very clean and well kept. We are back again in September for a longer stay and looking forward to it.

Just how a site should be run!

Stayed five nights 12th to 17th July 18. From the moment we arrived we felt at home on the site and realised we had arrived at a special little spot. Unlike others the railway was no issue nor was the nearby trunk road. The wardens were very welcoming and had their hand on all the information we required about the local area, explaining footpath options, public transport, shops selling local produce and of course the best pubs. Local 1-25000 os maps a bonus. Flat pitches which were intersperced with hard and grass pitches. The toilet/shower block was spotless although it was dated and deserves the modern facilities that some less cared for sites benefit from. The Carpenters arms at Walterstones, 2 miles from the site, is a must for anyone wishing to experience a quality meal/cask ales served in a truly friendly local hostelry. Abergavenny is 6 miles away or thereabouts and there area number of footpaths to take you there although they will take you through valleys and some hill climbing. The lanes and tracks are suitable for cycling and you are able to avoid the trunk road. It is a nice market town with enough to entertain you for a full day if you like walking and exploring. All in all a great site and unusually for us one we intend to go back to.

Lovely site

Stayed here for 12 nights made very welcome by great wardens. In beautiful location with plenty of things to do. Great cycling and challenging hills surround the site.
