First time to Pandy and we were aware of reviews of the site so it was with a little concern about the railway we decided to visit. Yes the trains run very close to the site but they are up on a high embankment shielded by mature trees and they pass through quickly. The normal peace of the site greatly out ways the occasional train and at weekends the trains are few. The very secure fencing all around the site ensures absolute safety from both the railway and the river. There is a well maintained play area and the dog walk although short through a small wood is a pleasure. The wardens are excellent and very welcoming and keep the site and the adequate toilet block in an immaculate condition. We had a very peaceful four days and look forward to visiting again.
