Brilliant holiday in Anglesey

Had a brilliant holiday in Anglesey.  Yes the weather helped however the area is beautiful.  The site was clean and welcoming and well maintained.  Only downside was that we were on a grass pitch that was difficult to level the van. Will probably return in the near future. Also great for dogs

Glorious Anglesey

Reasonably compact site set in glorious Anglesey countryside - although surrounded by other larger private campsites they can't really be seen and only just heard. Facilities whilst immaculately clean as always are quite small for the size of the site. Had to que on several occasions for the showers and also the showers themselves can have temperate issues ! The site itself is well located for exploring Angelsey and is quite close to Benlech for all your shopping needs. Although avoid the 'highly recommended' chippy in Benlech unless you like queuing. They were good but not worth the 45minute wait !!!

Super site, thank you Caravan Club!

Super site, particularly helpful wardens, immaculate grounds and facilities, fantastic children's play area with great apparatus at the rear of the site in its own adjoining field. We were en route from the wilds of Snowdonia and the CC Penrhos site felt like a return to civilisation with all the (very welcome at the mid week point of our trip!) facilities. Highly recommend Newborough beach, the walk across to the island there at low tide, and the forest bike trails too.  Thank you!

Lovely site to use as a base to visit Anglesey

Lovely greeting from the wardens & plenty of pitches to choose from. Clean showers & loos. Good central location to drive out & re-visit old haunts on Anglesey. Would have liked to see part of the site as an adult only section but other than this thanks for a nice stay.

Peaceful site.

This was our first time in Anglesey and we now see why so many people love this place. There are some lovely, picturesque little coastal places to visit near to the site and Beaumaris is charming. Lots of quaint little pubs and some lovely walks near the site. For us, a visit to South Stack across the island near Holyhead was brilliant for spotting seabirds and the highlight of our holiday was at Holyhead harbour where a seal popped up in the water as we stood on the harbour side. Our new little friend seemed very taken with us and just kept swimming alongside us, bobbing up and down at the bottom of the steps right next to us. Wonderful! The site itself was immaculate and all the facilities excellent. I would certainly return as there is much more to see and do.

Very Pleased

I stayed on this site in May 16 and was pleased with the location and facilities. It was not difficult to locate and the general set up and space is very good. i stayed on the smaller field which I found suited me much better and gave a spirit of community. The dog walking field was a decent size for exercise. The wardens where friendly and genuine. Would recommend this site.

Relax in Island Haven

First visit to Anglesey and Penrhos but certainly not the last to both. Very pleasant and well run site. Friendly warm natured staff. Nicely landscaped site and very clean and tidy. Large open field for dog walk plus local footpaths. Very handy for beaches and a visit must.....Newborough Forest, a beautiful mixed wood forest with fabulous walks to the beach, dunes and the spit. Can't wait to return and explore this wonderful little island further. Thanks to everyone we met, staff and beyond for making our visit thoroughly enjoyable.

Beautiful Site, Perfect Location.

We have stayed here at Penrhos now the past four years, and have never had a bad holiday. The wardens are always helpful. This year I needed some gas fittings for my new gas bbq, they new exactly where to direct me to get the parts I needed. Their local knowledge and friendliness was top class. Always a very clean, well managed site. Top marks for their hard work. Thank you all the staff at Penrhos.

Little piece of Heaven

Having visited this site a couple of time and about to return next week, we can't recommend and compliment this site enough. The wardens are great, very welcoming, friendly and approachable. They keep the site amazingly clean, they are readily on hand to provide helpful tips and advice about the local area. The enclosed dog walking area is a perfect place to site watching the world peacefully passing by, whilst knowing your beloved dog is safely letting of steam and having the time of his life. This is the perfect base to travel round the picturesque villages and beech's on Anglesey. Whilst the site its self is very little person friendly with a lovely like play ground, and safe area within the middle of the site for everyone to enjoy a quick game and run around. Would highly recommend
