Brilliant stay

Once again with two black labs this was a great place to stay. Beaches galore! Fantastic welcome and clean and tidy site. Lots to explore on the island and not enough time so we will be back next year. Great dog walk.

Pleasant stay over heatwave period

Excellent helpful wardens. We took a pitch just behind reception as we were able to get some shade. Well stocked shop - including delicious locally made Welsh fruit cake. Main issue was distance from any other shops, resteraunts etc. Good location as a base for visiting local area - Baeumaris was great. Early showerblock closing a bit of a nuisence when on holiday - other sites stagger this.

Ideally located for the whole of Anglesey

I had a fabulous stay at Penrhos. For me, the site supervisors where plentiful on this site. I had noticed that they have more of a visual presence around camp, tending to various needs. When I arrived, my electrical cable just reached the charging point. a day later, the supervisors had gone round and re-organised the cables, so now, mine was closer. I've read the comments and various niggles others have mentioned. Personally, for me, the chemical points and cleaning times are of no issue. I simply worked around it. It was a very clean site and all supervisors where so polite and cheery. The dog walking field was ace for my brothers dog. She loved running around the section at the bottom playing hide and seek with us all. It may not be the best site for walking directly from camp, but I found this site ideally situated with no more than 30 mins drive to anywhere on the island. I certainly would return, but then again, I would like to try some of the Clubs CL sites too. Anglesey is such a lovely place. Thank you Club for a great vacation!

Just a couple of niggles!

For anyone not been, Anglesey is a brilliant place to go. Site staff first class and new amenities. Niggles:- Should be a service toilet for when facilities are closed, plus my view is the number of Gents toilets is short by one on this site and the biggest 'complaint' very short sighted in only two chemical disposal points on whole site, both close to one another; nothing in the top or centre of site. Yes an increase from only the one previously but having spent such a lot of money short sighted and inconvenient to say the least in not having a least another one. Central rubbish bin collection is also not very helpful to those at the far flung corners of the site. Finally, come on let's tidy up the odd bits round the site arising from the alterations; why is it necessary to have the orange builders plastic wire, fencing off the drain pipes to the third wardens bathroom facilities. (Yes, increased numbers from previous four to six) It looks messy. Moral, pick your pitch with care. Despite these gripes, yes would go again pity more thought not put into the redevelopment which in itself is an improvement. Oh, nearly forgot. On our final Saturday five vans/motor homes queuing from 12.35hrs and despite notice of leaving site and parking up for a 1pm arrival; did not seem to apply!!!!!! Bernard in Tring

Nice area

Wasn’t to happy with have one waste disposal point at the site entrance, we were at the other end of the site so it was a bit of a trek. the toilet block is superb but should be in the centre of the site, lots of places to visit around the area.

Great time, But!!

Never stayed on this site before, came with my Daughter and her 3 kids so 6 of us in 2 motorhomes for a week, overall the site is great for adults, but not much to do on the site for adults and the kids only had the play ground, so we went out each day. The only grumble we had was that they closed the toilet and shower facility at 10.30am for cleaning, how ridiculous is that, as this is just the time that most people want to use them and was most annoying to say the least, they should have waited till say 12 noon before cleaning, nice site, but that one thing will stop us coming again.

First class site and excellent staff

We were booked here for a week and from the moment we arrived, we were made to feel exceptionally welcome. Our unit is 9m long so locating us can be tricky but here it was not an issue, the team had reserved us an ideal pitch with good access. On our last planned day we asked to extend the stay, this was easily and seamlessly arranged for us without a pitch move needed. All of the wardens were attentive and proactive in helping throughout our time here, this really is a first class team. The facilities are like new and were kept spotless, they are some of the best we have seen. This is a lovely peaceful spot on Anglesey with good access to local amenities, the nearest pub is only a 15 minute walk away. Unless your week is fully mapped out then a visit to the information room on site is essential as this has details of just about anything you can see, do and eat in the local area.

Superb quiet site, perfectly placed for access and tranquility with beautiful new facilities block and wonderful dog walk

This is our second visit, a brand new high quality shower and toilet block has been built since our visit 4 years ago and everything is kept spotlessly clean and although the site was quite busy I never once had to wait, there's plenty of showers and toilets. We had a hard standing, but grass pitches are available, and although the site is slightly sloping, the pitches are flat and level. There is a lovely dog walk, half of which is close mown, the other half is long grass with meadow flowers and is criss crossed with close mown paths, allowing my wife and I to hide from our young springer spaniel, and he had a fantastic time chasing around looking for us both. All areas are kept beautifully, the staff work hard but always have time for a little chat and advice on the local amenities and attractions, and the site is perfectly placed to access any of them, but far enough away from the road to be tranquil and relaxed. We'd definitely use this site again if we visit the area.

Never been made to leave a site before

Sorry for late review, only just learned how to do it. Stopped at this site the first week in May. Arrived on Bank Holiday Monday at 12.30 pm not expecting to be allowed on the site till 1pm under the new arrival times . I'd literally just turned my engine off and a lady warden came to the car and said that we'd have to leave and to be honest we were flabbergasted and she wouldn't take no for an answer. In 30 years of caravaning I'd never had this, we were the only outfit in the new arrival area but we had to leave and go and find somewhere to park and the warden was of no help in telling us where to park. After leaving the site and having to do a dangerous maneuver to park at the side of the road we saw a motorhome pass us and by this time it was 12.45pm. We waited until 12.55pm until entering the site and we found the motorhome had been allowed to stop and was already booked in. My wife ended up in tears when booking in as the wardens were so rude and the best part about it was the site was half empty, I just couldn't understand their logic. If we'd arrived at 11.30am and the site was full but arriving at 12.30pm and a half full site and nowhere safe to park up when made to leave it's just ridiculous. The wardens should remember that we are on holiday.

Good site. Well worth a visit.

Only downside, no bins by the service points even though there is space for them. We were quite a walk from the bins and when packing up had to make several journeys , general waste and elsan point and recycling.
