Peace and Quite

We have just returned from 12 nights total peace and quite, come 9:30 you could be on the moon! Beautiful stars at night due to the lack of light pollution and wonderful owl sounds deep at night. Travelling to Putts Corner is easy with wide access roads, just follow the Club's guidance and you can't go wrong, try the alternative sat nav route and you'll hit trouble. The site is quite small if you have a large van but nevertheless manageable, it has a mixture of hard standing, serviced and grass pitches. As usual the facilities are spic and span and the wardens are helpful and very unobtrusive. We did not use the WiFi, although, the signal popped up quite regularly. We simply did not need it as we had a strong 4G signal all the time. There are some super seaside towns within easy reach and two well known supermarkets, one in Ottery and one in Honiton, just a couple of miles each way. Look out for the M&S food store at the local garage too. Just a couple of minute walk away is the Hare and Hounds Pub where we had several enjoyable evening meals, the place is always busy so its best to book, but that in itself tells a story. As we live in Yorkshire its unlikely we will visit again but we would not hesitate to recommend it to others. In fact its the only site we have ever visited during our many many years in the club that was so empty during peak season - we do not know what is PUTTing people off PUTTS Corner, it's certainly worth a visit.
