This is a lovely site, well kept, clean and tidy and a joy to stay at. We stopped for an overnight on journey north and were offered several pitches to choose from. My question is - On our return journey for an overnight southbound having booked a hardstanding awning pitch (white peg )we were offered a grass pitch or the tarmac area (blue peg) on top of site. That was all the warden could offer! We were not happy to pitch on grass being a motorhome. Yet there were white pegged pitches free as we saw her direct someone on to one after our arrival. One white pegged pitch had a cone on it which we saw a motorhome go into after our arrival. It wasn't even near the toilet block so was not being kept for a disabled person. The motorhome was the same size as out unit. Why are pitches being kept for some members?? I understood it was first come first served and we arrived at 1.10pm! I wanted to complain but my husband didn't want a fuss made! The noise of the road did not affect us but I can understand how it would for some.
