We last stayed on this site almost 30 years ago.  As the site description states, it located adjacent to a country park and was very pleasant and quiet.  The country park now appears to have largely transformed into a commercial retail park with all the usual supermarkets, fast food outlets and car parts stores available within close walking distance.  The consequence of these changes has led to a noticeable increase in traffic ‘hum’ which started at abou 6AM and continued to late evening.  If you live in an urban area, this will probably not be an issue for you but those, like us, who prefer a peaceful site, may find it more disconcerting.  During our two night stay, the traffic background noise was largely eliminated by the sound of construction work on the new superstore being built on the other side of the fence.  Hopefully by next season, this will have been completed. 
As with most CAMC sites, the wardens were helpful and very friendly and the site itself is maintained to the usual high standards.  I can’t comment on the communal facilities as we never use them preferring our onboard sanitation.
