Good for families

Bit Dissapointed

This is the first CL for us. Allocated pitch which is ok but a bit unusual. The facilities had recently been renovated and were very clean. Location is good for a walk to the village which is nice, lovely pub which did good food and dog friendly. Quite close to some kind of heavy plant which was operational on the Friday and very noisy. Major disappointment was the electric hookup. Ok whilst we were the only ones plugged in but as soon as neighbours plugged in the electrics kept tripping the fuse. Couldn’t even boil a kettle and had to revert to boiling water on the gas cooker. Not really acceptable in this day and age and clearly needs upgrading.

Hi There. The site is not a CL it is an affiliated site and a number of affiliated sites do allocate a pitch.

We stayed there a few years ago and were happy enough but the electricity is a 10amp supply rather than the 16amp found on club sites. It is quite likely that either you or one of your neighbours did not realise that and hence the supply tripping

I have no problem on 10amp as I turn heating down to 1kw and more or less carry on as usual
