Having read previous reviews after booking, I wondered if I had made a mistake in doing so, as my son and his wife and 2 young boys had just bought their first caravan and this was their first ever trip, and we were to 'show them the ropes' However we had a wonderful stay at the Rutland site, in spite of freezing weather, sleet and wind. The management could not be held responsible for this though! We were welcomed by helpful friendly staff, the hard standing pitches all had water and their own drainage and were a generous size. We were on the family area and could hear no obtrusive noises or smells at all and the showers etc were warm, clean and even had music in them, a nice touch in my book. It just proves to me that some folk will just moan about sites just for the sake of it. Thank you to Rutland Caravan site we all loved it and our son and his family are most definitely hooked an caravaning and have lots more sites booked for 2016.
