Rang and booked for one night, paid card over the phone. Arrived having followed satnav which took us down Church Lane, then on to Shepherds Lane, which is gated and closed. Mentioned this to receptionist, the same one I had spoke to earlier, to be told that happed a lot! Would have been nice to know before as we are in an RV with tow car on the back. We were then told that 27' to too big for their pitches, despite having been asked the question when we booked??? As we were only staying for one night we were allowed to stay, but made to feel very uncomfortable about it!  Having parked on the pitch we had a good 7' beween the front of our RV and the roadway...?? The site is otherwise quite reasonable with a good wooded walking area and nature trail. Facilities were in the process of being extended. We saw the much talked about chimney and in the morning it was smoking quite a lot, but the wind was taking it away from the site, so was not a problem, but can understand why there have been previous comments about it.
