Lovely relaxing stay

We came to stay at this site for a long weekend to relax and we weren't disappointed. Check in was easy and we were told to take a look round first to see what pitch we liked which was quite nice. The pitches were varying in size but we got a great one (number 50!). The site was very peaceful and nicely laid out. I was really pleased to see that the shower block was open and they had temperature adjustable showers that stay on without the awkward push button to keep it going. The toilets/shower block was spotless and they operated a wristband system that you hook outside to show its occupied and means there should never be more than 3 people instead at a time - great for peace of mind. Salisbury and nearby pubs were within 10 mins to drive too, we sampled the Hook & Glove & Lord Nelson both serving nice food but lacking a bit of atmosphere (probably down to the fact we ate pretty early both times). The Salisbury market was good for a look round on Saturday morning, plenty of nice cafes to watch the world go by. The site dog walk did the job but gets a bit tight with overgrown flora & fauna the further you go down it (no big deal). No sign of the rabbits (probably hiding from the wind and rain!). Overall it was perfect for a few nights away and we got just the R&R we were after. We will definitely return in the future.
