First Class Site.

Have people ever heard of the wonderful invention called a TORCH, it seems not. This site is fantastic for viewing the heavens because of low light pollution, so please keep the site lighting as it is now, the solution would be for a note to be put on the sites home page. Fabulous site, staff cannot wait until next holiday there.

Home town re visited

Lived in Scarborough, so try to come back as often as possible, love this site some great walks in the area.Agree with comments about the lighting we were here second week of October so coming in at night we found it very dark, thats been picky its still a great site. The Wardens are very helpful and there are some good eating places in Ayton and Seamer, we had a great week and will be back in 2016

Great Place to Recharge the Batteries

First visit and will definitely come again. Wardens worked hard constantly to maintain the site. Loved the dog shower! Should have one on every site as we have a water and mud loving Golden Retreiver. Would agree with the reviewer about more lighting, but low level as the top of the toilet block stairs was a bit dark. Other than that can't wait to visit again.

The Leaves hahahaha

Great site as always with the Club, well layed out, well kept, nice large dog walk and facilities for the kids,if you dont like leaves dont go to the countryside in autumn, the local village is under ten minutes away,a few pubs that also serve good food,a large fish resturant and a very good spar shop.there is also a fish and chip shop, lovely village with a few walks,my wife has a disability scooter and drove to the village on the paths for 95% of the time.will visit again soon.

Night lights

As usual this is an excellent site, the wardens were very friendly.Having  little dog we find the facilities excellent the only downside is that the lights could be improved as there are many areas which are poorly lit at night

Is there a quieter way to clear leaves up?

I have to agree with the other reviews about the small number of showers - 3 in our block, guessing there are 3 in the other, and although we like the privacy cubicles with sinks, perhaps 7 or 8 is a bit excessive, albeit cheaper. Although we use a motorhome, we still like to go out for a drive and we visited Scarborough, to find that we were not catered for in the Sainsbury's car park, despite the numberplate-recognition-camera telling us that we had 3 free hours of parking after filling our tank. We left Sainsbury's and drove around, found nowhere to park, so did the same as we had done at Bridlington a few weeks ago - went somewhere else to spend our money. Nice area, though, good autumnal colours to see and nice little villages away from the coast. We do appreciate the work of the wardens and the site is kept very well, but please put notices up, share your timetable of the 'noisy work' - tell us as we enter the site, etc. On one particularly sunny day (in October) we sat outside for a cuppa, to be disturbed by a warden with a noisy smelly leaf blower. This, along with all the other petrol engined equipment in regular use, from early morning, could be replaced, I'm sure, with quieter and more ecologically friendly ones - like an electric one or an electric-assist hand cart instead of the mini-tractor to empty the bins, or even using rakes or brooms to clear a few leaves is much better, and good healthy exercise.

An Enjoyable Return Visit

We have visited this site for a number of years and always found it to be a well organised run venue. The toilet blocks are very clean with the showers being probably the best of the club sites, delivering a high volume of hot water. This site is one we will continue to visit.

fantastic week

we went to this site from 5th to 13th for the first time and it was excellent , wardens were very helpful giving great information about the area. pitches are good with plenty of space there is good walks for dogs nearby and a enclosed dog run/ walk . this i thought was particularly good being adjacent too the kids playing area and stopped any encroachment . The surrounding area is nice you can easily walk into the village of ayton which has enough facilities for general stocking up , the spar / garage is large . we were fortunate to have excellent weather which made the whole holiday . the toilet block was immaculate but had 3 showers maybe an improvement could be to replace a couple of the " washing / shaving " booths for showers . If you have not been before the last 0.5 miles display as a no through road just trust your directions / sat nav maybe a sign at the junction at top of the hill would help . Overall a great site and we would definitely return

West Ayton Scarborough

First time at this site, but it won't be the last. From our arrival at reception to departure, we really found everything first class. We were fortunate to have had lovely weather for October, which always helps. Site really does have that calm relaxed feeling.  Washrooms were clean and the showers were powerful with copious amounts of hot water, (not just warm). I would love to have the opportunity to have a seasonal pitch at this site. Having dogs, there are plenty of good walks available along with a good on site walk. Wardens were lovely and friendly without being overbearing. A must visit site, well done the Caravan Club.
