What a quiet gem!

We stayed for three nights last week and thoroughly enjoyed the peace and quiet of the site. It has only 33 pitches, no toilet/shower block and is run by volunteers. We had a lovely warm welcome. Our pitch was handy for the facilities, ie the water, waste and rubbish bins. That area was clean and very well kept. The village is only a 10 minute walk away and there is a shop (under new management) and a pub, The Red Lyon which has a beer garden round the back. Children and dogs are welcome. The main draw for us to this site was its proximity to the cycle trail which was right next to the site and is an old railway line covering the route from the South downs to the Notrth downs. There is also a regular bus service from the stops at the end of the approach road to the site and they provided a means of going to Horsham and Guildford. I mentioned before that the site is run by volunteers from the club. They keep the site immaculate and obviously love their job as they were so friendly and informative. All in all a great site and one that we shall return to.
