Great site

We stayed here last week and as always enjoyed the holiday. Site kept clean as are facilities. Love the variation of cleaning times in the toilet blocks. Be good if other sites could clean in the afternoon when site is quiet. Wardens friendly. Only niggle is that shower cubicles other than disabled cubicle be fitted with a handrail. Otherwise will definitely return. Southport though not a fault of caravan club is in need of street cleaning especially the main shopping precinct. Be good if council addressed this.

Great Site for Exploring

We booked this site for 2 days as we wanted to break up the driving on our way to the Lake District. This site especially the new area was so lovely. The new shower and toilet block were really clean and smart. The underfloor heating when you come out of the shower is fab. We explored on our bikes and learnt a lot about the area. Loads to see and do and what lovely people live in the area. Great things to see, shopping and also food. Will definitely go again. Only thing would say is that having only one Motorhome point which is on the way out makes it going to fill up with water and empty grey waste a tad annoying. Another water point to fill up would be great.

Second visit this year to this great site

This was our second visit to the Southport club site this year and it is fast becoming one of our favourite sites. It is conveniently situated a short walk/ride to the shops, Victoria Park, the seafront and cycle track.we stayed 4 nights in April this year and liked it so much booked for a return trip while we were there and an extra night on this trip. We were not disappointed and were blessed with really good weather. Although the site was busy we never had to wait to use showers or other facilities all of which are spotlessly clean. I must point out The reason for the three stars for peace and quiet is the Enchanted Fields festival was on Friday, Saturday and Sunday of our stay and the noise (I hesitate to call it music) was dreadful tuneless singing, guitar and very loud drumming which went on until after 11 each night not what you would expect from a yoga and well-being festival don’t be fooled it was awful. The park was closed to the public for the whole weekend during the event something to bear in mind if you have children or dogs to walk. This wasn’t the fault of the site but next time we stay we will be checking what is on in Victoria park before booking as I understand from a fellow camper there was also music on the previous weekend. The beginning of this stay and Our last visit was very quiet. The Festival didn’t spoil our stay it was just a bit annoying and we will be returning in the future A big thank you to the wardens for their friendly helpful manner and for keeping the site in tip top condition

Southport Club Site

Just arrived back from 3 nights at Southport Club site. We were lucky enough to have great weather for the time we were there which always makes the camping special. Southport town centre is conveniently only around 10 minutes walk away through the wide open spaces of Victoria Park. There are plenty of places to eat and drink in town for any budget. We ate at Wetherspoons on our last night to save on the washing up. There are two hidden gems near just outside the camp site - the model engineering train line which offers rides most Sundays in the Summer and also the model boating lake which is great to pass an hour or so watching the members sail their creations. Club staff went out of their way to make the stay memorable. All in all a great place to spend a few days away.

One of the Best

Excellent site, good facilities easy access to town and railway station. Use of the Park & Ride. Stockport is lovely, lots of parks, loads of walks, good shops. Just down the road from the site is a excellent pub called The Fisherman’s Rest with great meals. Great Sunday Lunch. This is one of the best sites we have been to. 🤗

Fabulous Jubilee Bank Holiday Break

We have just returned from a lovely stay at the site with our family and in fact extended it as we didn't want to come home lol! The staff are really friendly and cannot do enough to ensure a stress free stay. Facilities as usual are pristine and the location is perfect!! We cannot wait to return - thank you!!

Does what it says on the tin

Nothing to fault on this site, lovely facilities, good WiFi and TV very friendly wardens, what's not to like. Lucky to be be on a lovely flat fully serviced pitch which catches plenty of sunshine when it shines. Only thing I can think of to improve it would be a bit more colour with some shrubs and flowers to make it a bit more welcoming. Walking distance to the beach, pier, amusement park, shops, cinema and Morrisons supermarket. Also plenty of places to visit in the surrounding area, even a train into Liverpool.

A Great Location

We only had 1 night at Southport and access was very easy. We had booked a serviced pitch and as these are all together the warden directed us to the area. There were only a couple left so we chose the corner pitch, 101, very close to the facilities. This is the largest site we have stayed on and was functional, rather than scenic. Facilities were very clean and not busy at block B. The location was what made this site worth staying at for us. There were many walks direct from the site. During our stay we walked: along the seafront, along the very long pier, around the Victorian shopping centre, around the Jubilee nature trail, over the dunes, along Rotten Row and around the various beautiful parks. There were a huge range of places to stop for refreshments. There were many other walks we would have enjoyed, had we stayed longer.

An excellent site!

We visited for two nights on our way back from Scotland. Friendly welcome from the Warden on duty in the office. Pitches well spaced and of a good size. The site is within easy walking distance of Southport which we enjoyed visiting. The shower and toilet facilities were clean, modern, spacious and warm. The site has two walkways handy for walking dogs. One goes to the dunes and the other to a recreation field - please clear up after you! The site was quiet and relaxing. Just one minor bugbear - the lady who insisted on walking her dog on the strip of grass between our pitch and the next! This is becoming more common on sites lately - please respect other people's pitch area! One other thing, the site was awash with rabbits, especially in the evening - just in case you have a dog that's partial to a chase as ours is! An excellent site and thank you to the Wardens for keeping it so well.

Always enjoy this site

We have been returning to this site for over 20 years and seen vast improvements which are always done to a high standard. This time we stayed on a service pitch and used the nearest toilet block to them. The block was lovely and clean as always but with us both having slight disability problems at present we felt that all shower cubicles would benefit from a hand rail in the shower area. We couldn’t always get into the multi use adapted cubicle & our needs were not severe enough to take up use of the separate actual disabled facility. Otherwise we hope to return many more times in the future.
