Great site, pity about the Wifi

Stayed a few days at the weekend as it’s on our list of favourite sites with excellent walks for the dog and conveniently located for parks, dunes and lakeside walks. Seemed to be a lot of visitors new to the site as we heard a few asking for the shortest route into Southport centre. We usually walk through the park, over the road and along the lakeside but as our dog is getting older we now use Park and Ride from the Ecocentre just a short walk from the site entrance. You don’t have to use the car park, just walk to the car park pay booth, pay the £2 (car fee) and you get a Park and Ride ticket. Buses run every few minutes and you can hop on and off as required. The route is along the Esplanade then loops round returning along Lord Street (main shopping street). We used it on Monday and the £2 for the two of us plus dog is great value. The only negative about the site this time was the abysmal access to the site Wifi. Maybe it’s because our pitch was in the long thin stretch and signal wasn’t good but my iPad didn’t even list the Club WiFi as a possibility and I had to use tethering instead.
