Good for families

Only one thing lacking - a dog wash!

Very efficient and friendly staff. The site is well maintained and the facilities are very clean. The showers are the standard club ones so a good size with lots of hooks for clothes and towels. The site location is a little way from the town so very quiet but not so far that one can't walk in. Southport has a great range of shops, many of them independents, and lots of pubs and restaurants offering a range of eating options. The site abuts Victoria Park which is beautifully laid out, pretty to walk through and great that dogs can be safely let off their leads. Just across the road from the site is the Queens Jubilee Nature Trail, a small nature reserve that's a haven for wildlife. There are pathways and decking through the reserve. Just down the road one can access Ainsdale and Birkdale Sandhills Nature Reserve, one of the largest areas of wild dune land left in Britain. Dogs can be let off leads here and can literally run for miles. My only complaint about Southport site is that there is no dog wash - lots of other club sites have them - please can one be installed here?
