Good for families

One of the best!

This is definitely in our top three sites. Probably because the location is so wonderful with only a quick walk to the beach, albeit all uphill on the way back. There are no facilities which we obviously knew before we booked but I think it’s the better for it. It’s no bother to use your onboard facilities, it makes you more mindful of water usage😁. It is just a field really but the glorious weather and wonderful location made our whole break just perfect. We did get a list of pitches that were available but that’s because it had been raining the previous week and some were very wet. We were told we could pick any if we wanted and we did, our chocks did sink in a bit but all was fine. Finally, although our site information told us that dogs weren’t allowed on Chapel Porth beach and so did the signs in the car park of the beach itself, there were lots and lots of dogs on the beach. The National Trust staff members that were in the car park office didn’t seem to mind. If I’d known, we could have taken ours but chose not to bring him on the break for that reason.
