nice site

Great sight for exploring this part of the coast. We managed to walk coast path between Solva and Porthgain in sections using public transport which was great. There is a minibus service that runs into St Davids from outside site and then you can get connections to quite a few areas so no need to use car. Whitesands beach within walking distance safe for swimming and surfing etc. Local Nisa in St Davids for shopping but there is a Tesco at Havefordwest. Site maintained as expected however there is no do walk, dogs to be exercised / emptied off site I have to say this is the worst site I have stayed on for the flouting of this rule so don't be surprised. Wardens need to be more visible to enforce rules in my opinion. Would stay here in futures

Stopover not long enough

Used as a stopover for a couple of days before getting the ferry at Fishguard to Ireland. The stay was excellent ,having not visited for a number of years but it was superb right from meeting the wardens and booking in to enjoying a walk to St Davids one day and a coastal stroll along the outstanding Whitsands the next.I will not be leaving it so long this time.

Superb Wardens

We have just enjoyed 2 weeks at the St. Davids site and enjoyed every minute.  Immense credit must be given to the Wardens, Sharon and Mike, who despite being on their own with no relief wardens, were always happy, smiling and hard working but always with time for a chat.  They are probably the friendliest wardens we have met in many years caravanning. The views from the site are gorgeous and the walks quite strenuous but with outstanding scenery. We will definitely be back.

Very Peacefull Rural site.

Arrived back from this lovely site,at the weekend.Stayed for 8 nights fabulous location.Staff really friendly and helpfull.Would highly recommend this site to walkers. It rained most days, but we still enjoyed our stay.Could do with adding another washing machine to the laundry room as every time I needed to use it it was full.No other negatives at all.Spotless shows and loos.Enjoyed the walk into St Davids about 2 miles from site,Beautifull cathederal.

Fabulous peaceful site.

Loved this site. As previous reviewer stated buses are brilliant. We had some rain but expected that in Wales. Coming from the South East we have to live with permanent noise so the peacefulness was bliss. Great views. Wardens very efficient and go that extra mile to make staying a pleasure. Upgraded facilities are the best that we have encountered in our journeys. If you enjoy the countryside and walks this is the place to go.

Great site and great for explorers

We stayed in mid-June and loved this open site. The site is free-draining so the grass pitch was no problem for us. We walked directly to the coast from the site, which can be reached from a choice of walks, but the star of the show was a coastal bus which stopped by the site entrance every half hour when we were there, to extend the range of walks along the coastal path, and which also visits St. David's where there are shops and the fascinating cathedral to explore. Wardens were great. We will return.

Good open site

Cut our stay short due to weather, got fed up with the rain. The site is good and open. Access is a bit narrow and there is nowhere to walk to safety in the evenings. Great facilities and very good wardens, will try to get back when the sun shines

Awning problem resolved.

We were in the process of erecting our new awning and discovered that one pole was missing. In hope, we went to the wardens to see if they could help. Using their initiative they provided a broom handle which was just the right size. Problem solved and the awning stayed up all through our stay despite some strong winds overnight. Also, we thought we'd lost a mobile phone and when one was handed in, they came to find us to see if it was ours. Can't praise them enough. Will definitely go back - a lovely site.

A very friendly site, ideal for walkers

This site is more open than a lot of CC sites and relatively flat. Very friendly wardens and a very friendly site overall. we were pitched quite near the rooks and they do make a racket when roosting but it's only for a short time and we found it interesting to watch. St David's is a lovely place to visit. I would imagine the area is very busy in summer holidays and then the small roads could be a of a nightmare but in June it was fine.

Rooks, rooks, rooks.

Cleanliness and tidiness are exemplary as is usual on a CC site. Beware of the site rooks that can be very noisy and somewhat messy if you're in the wrong place at the wrong time. Be careful of the narrow access from St David's but if taken carefully and with consideration you will be OK. The access road is shared by tourists to Whitesands, the golf club, another caravan site and the Youth Hostel.....oh and residents. Fabulous coastline here for the walkers and some good artisan food shops in St David's.  Plenty of room on site with fabulous views of nearby hills, the views from the top I am told are superb. Be brave and use this site,it is well worth a visit.
