Great site BUT......

Nice site if you get a good pitch, we booked a serviced pitch well in advance but got stuck on what must be the smallest most cramped pitch on the park, we did manage, just, to get our twin axle, awning and 4x4 in. The caravans around us looked like they hadn't moved for some considerable time and were surrounded by months of clutter. The sign on reception stated not to ask to be moved as the site was full, however several nice pitches remained unoccupied for the duration of our stay. It's a site of two halves, most of the site is lovely with great pitches well laid out with plenty of space, the area we were in is tight and untidy. When we first saw the pitch we considered just going home, which is what we should have done. If you get offered pitch 101 that's what you should do. Great wardens, nice little shop, decent facilities, fantastic peacocks. Don't think we will be returning, the pitch roulette doesn't really appeal. First come best pitch is much more fair.
