Fantastic Stoney

This was our 3rd stay this season.  Fantastic location, walking distance to the beach and town.  Great walks and walking maps provided by the lovely wardens who were very helpful and extremely friendly.  Very busy site so booking well in advance is a must.  Also just next to the Art Deco outdoor swimming pool with its salt water warmed to a very bath like temperature, which is very pleasing in the Scottish summer weather!  A visit is a must.

Very Nice Site

We visited this site in May 2016, it is a very busy site so would recommend booking in advance, the site is of the standard you expect from the Caravan Club, the staff were hepful and friendly, the site is very clean and tidy and the pitches are all very good, the showers and toilets were clean and tidy at all times, we got a really good information pack about things to do on arrival which was great, I would recommend this site for Stonehaven and surrounding area

Stonehaven Caravan Club site

My husband and I arrived after a rather frazzled journey. My husband had not been very well the previous evening and we had to stay en route at another site. We had only booked on the Stonehaven site for one night as we were travelling but I felt it would be safer to rest a little. The camp site was full but Sharon was amazing, she said she would keep me informed if anyone cancelled, Don came down and told me we could stay another night. Sharon then rang me to say another cancellation had occurred and we could stay for 3 nights. They are both so nice and went out of their way to help us. What great Wardens. they are. Oh I forgot to say by the way the site is fantastic as well. clean beautifully kept I give it 5 Stars.

A Haven at Stonehaven

This is a very quiet and well maintained site with a very clean toilet block and prep/ dish washing area. There are also good clothes washing facilities.  Sharon and Don the wardens are lovely and can provide a wealth of knowledge. They are willing to help if possible.  This is a lovely site and you are on the outskirts of Stonehaven with a 5 minute walk to the centre of town. There is a lovely beach walk also which is suitable for wheelchairs also. There are several lovely cafe's nearby which are reasonably priced. The open air swimming pool is right next door, it certainly was not noisy when we were there but don't know about the middle of summer. There is a bus stop nearby where you can travel to Aberdeen, Dundee, Montrose and a few other places if you wish. I will certainly return here.

Excellent site in lovely location

The facilities at this site are up to usual caravan club standards. Some pitches up by the road and leisure centre do suffer from some noise but we managed to avoid those. The site is quite open (trees and bushes not matured yet) and overlooked by a number of houses. But it is a perfect location for a short stroll into town along the promenade. Award winning fish and chip shop (the Bay) just outside, nice bistro (Tolbooth) and pub (Ship Inn) in town. Lovely walk along the clifftop to the war memorial and castle. We will definitely be back in the summer months when the lido is open - it is right next to the site and looks great in the photos.

Well placed site

I have just had a one night stop over at this site with my campervan on a tour of the east coast. This is a well placed site within easy walking distance of the town of Stonehaven. A good sea front location with very good toilet and shower facilities as expected from a caravan club site. Very friendly helpful wardens. The pitches are very open as the tree planting has yet to become established. Apart from a gentle hum of the nearby leisure centre air handling which is only noticeable if you have a pitch next to the building, and the road that runs along the west side of the site it is a fairly quiet site. Great coastal walking and the leisure centre has a good swimming pool along side the quaint outdoor lido pool. Well worth a visit and as it is a busy popular site I suggest that you check online for availability and possibly book ahead.
