neat and tidy

site is easy to access. Welcoming helpful wardens. Site is within walking distance of coast but maybe a bit of a stretch to Sutton itself. Dog walk on site is small but adequate, longer walk outside the gate and round the perimeter of the site. The area has plenty to do but is not everyone's idea of fun. Its not teeming with nightlife. I would have expected teens to find it dull. The site is very well kept and the block is just about the nicest and cleanest ive seen. What its like in high season, who knows? The site office actually sells a few essential items which is a refreshing change of late. I love the new way of siting the outfit, caravan awning car instead of car caravan awning, makes far more sense and is user friendly. will bw back at some point.

A little gem of a siteYhis is a

This is a gem of a site that is tended with loving care by the site wardens, for whom nothing is too much trouble. It is a regular stay for me being a short journey from home and I can walk my dog with ease to the beach and beyond. The facilities are beautiful and clean, I have yet to see them otherwise!!!. The central bin area is sensible as it cuts cost on all the plastic bags that were used in the dustbins at the water points. There are also for the size of the site adequate dog bins, and recently the pitching points have been slightly altered to give a larger privacy area for each pitch, again a good idea. Overall a little gem, BUT as always it is/can be spoilt by the minority who fail to clear up after their dog, and the latest trend of putting caravan/dog rubbish in the waste bin in the toilet block. To those I say do not spoil it for the majority who do as they are told. I have only given four stars for a family setting as I do not know what a family requires or otherwise, and those with young children please ensure that if on bikes or scooters, that they follow the directional arrows around the site

Couple of nights.

Seemed further than I expected!! My fault. Longer grass now not mowed as much looks tatty.lots birds so paths a bit of a mess. Good toilet block,be careful as some lights go off if not many in.hubby having shaver when lights over wash cubicles went out.good job he didn't cut his throat !! No path up road and traffic could be fast. Not many lights around. Once enough for us.

Exceptional place to stay!

I heartily recommend this campsite for basically any need you have. Morris and Helen were amazing when I had a disaster with my rear windscreen and I smashed it whilst I was out - they could not do enough to help me get sorted and able to drive my vehicle. I cannot thank them enough. As far as the campsite goes, plenty of space and amazing facilities, so clean, coupled with excellent dog walks direct off site. There was a wonderful play area in the corner. There is a 10min walk to the nearest beach but a 10min drive and you find a really sandy beach with cafe and toilet plus dogs allowed too. I will definitely be back for a visit, thank you Morris and Helen.

Second visit to this lovely site.

As per the review tittle, this is our second visit to this site but it wont be the last, as my wife is disabled the wardens went out of their way to accommodate us with a pitch close to the toilet block. The wardens are very friendly and stop for a chat or at least a wave, any queries are dealt with without any fuss, the site is close to Sutton and Mablethorpe. The site is well looked after and cleaned to a high degree, some of the facilities did get a bit messy later in the day due to children playing in and around the toilet block but this is in no way a reflection on the wardens. We will without a doubt be returning to this site in the future.

Family Time ❤️

We both love this site and this visit we brought my Grandson and my best friend ,a first time camper! We purposely chose a pitch near the playground so we could keep an eye on our grandson. Absolutely perfect for him,he made lots of new friends and it felt safe to allow him a little more freedom than at home. The warden was great at keeping an eye on this area and “bedtime” for this area was well controlled. My friend as a first time camper was very impressed with the facilities and location and can’t wait to be invited back! As a couple we love the fact “wilding” has been introduced to areas… the amount of birds/wildlife we spot increases each time we visit. This obviously won’t suit everyone but we see that these guys work hard at encouraging wildlife rather than creating a sterile environment. Can’t wait to book again x

What has happened to this site???

Firstly we were at this site in April and it was A1 as usual. Just been again end of July into August and what a change (not for the better) We were on a fully serviced pitch which were kept tidy, but other hardstanding pitches around the site were full of weeds! The small grass area behind our van and the others we were next to had been let go for "Wildlife" not good for us with 2 dogs that like to be outside! The toilet/shower block was lovely and clean but the 5pm check for cleanliness was no longer happening. What's this no bins idea except for the 1 area by the reception area? ok for us as we were close, but what about the people the end of the site?? BAD Idea. Such a shame as this really was 1 of our favourite sites. I think private nearby sites may be getting more visits from us in the future. Is this why the site was so empty when normally in the summer holidays here you are lucky to get a pitch. Are we getting good value for money, I am beginning to wonder here.

Great 5 night stay on Serviced Pitch

The serviced pitches are placed with good access to services and level. The whole site was very quiet and the staff was pleasant and helpful. We walk everywhere so good and safe access to the beach and coastal path from the back of the site along quiet roads. The site toilet block has recently been renovated and was kept clean and tidy. This site is a good choice with a flat walk to Sutton on Sea that takes under 30 mins also Mablethorpe and Chapel St Leonards along the coastal path. Plenty of eateries along the way and the beach is amazing. The option to catch a bus back to the site is available with the stop at the end of Crabtree lane leading to the site. I couldn't fault the site enjoyable stay/

What’s happened Scruffy and the weeds

We have been coming to the Sutton on sea site for years with our children and more recently our adopted disabled son and love this site, The staff were friendly and helpful and facilities clean, but the site looked very scruffy and unkempt with pitches full of weeds and long grass around trees.and some larger areas of long grass these maybe for wildlife, or wildflowers which is a great idea, and could look amazing if that’s the idea, But the pitches and over all feel was scruffy. During our time of visiting over the years we have got to know some of the locals and always have a chat, and they even asked us as to why standards had slipped, such a shame.

Disappointing and poor value for money

I see on the details that the reviews are glowing 5 stars. We must have stayed on a different site…. The place looks carelessly maintained and many hard standing pitches are covered in weeds. The staff were good and so were the facilities but it just looked tatty. Next time we will stay at Jasmin Camping next door for 1/3 the price.
