Covid 19

Hi just had a few nights here lovely site lovely wardens we were on pitch 50 about 30 yards from the Services which had all the sanitizing you would want We were sat outside on a sunny day and noticed a very large number of campers not even using any Just filled aqua rolls and used the dust bins then just walked away We didn't use the showers or toilet as we did not feel safe to use them This is not any fault of the wardens just stupid individuals who dont care less

Excellent site.

The staff are friendly & helpful, and the pitches are well spaced. The site is very well kept. The shower block is simply fantastic - definitely the best of all the club sites we have stayed on. Lots of water/ waste water/ chemical disposal points, and all had both hand sanitizer and wipes available. This site is a shining example of what a club site should be - modern, clean & relaxing. Thanks to all the staff there for maintaining the site so well & for making us so welcome. Lots of great walks and cycle rides nearby, and miles of beach to explore.

Fabulous Site

My hubby and I and our dog have just returned from a 7 night stay on this really nice site ! The wardens are friendly and very helpful, the toilet block is very clean, the site in general is also kept very clean and tidy ! There is a fish and chip van that visits the site on certain days and although we didnt try it there was always a big queue so they must be good ! The surrounding area has some great walks especially if you have a dog ! You can walk to the beach in around 30 minutes and its about 40 minute walk into the village ! We loved our stay and have booked again for same time next year !

Short but nice break away

First time at Sutton on sea and a nice, short break away. We walked to the beach and back, we caught the bus to mablethorpe one day and ingoldmells the next day. The site is just the right distance away from the village and bus stop if you don’t have other transport besides your motorhome. The large hotel heading towards the beach and promenade has shut down so there’s no chance of a drink/eat or toilet stop on the way but there is toilets on the car park near the beach. You will need 20p tho to use them but they were clean so don’t mind that. It’s a little further, about a mile, to reach the spar shop, walking along the promenade but if weather is nice it’s no probs and not hard to do. Overall a nice, quiet site (kids gone back to school)with excellent shower/toilet block that was spotlessly clean.

Lovely site

Stayed here for a week immediately after the club sites were opened after Covid 19 lockdown. Wardens were great and very helpful if somewhat busy the day we arrived. (31 units arrived that afternoon). Very clear instruction from the wardens about Covid restrictions. Plenty of sanatiser available. The site is very well laid out and managed. Although the access roads are a little bumpy so require a slow approach if towing a caravan. Once on site the pitchs are well spaced with a good selection of hard and grassed areas. The single toilet block is central to the site and very well maintained. The only picky thing for us was the last 3 pitches near to the exit gate are grassed and on a slight slope. I needed to pack my front stabalisers with about 12" of blocks to get any stable footing. Pitch numbers 59, 60, 61 seem to be the worst affected. There are some interesting hidden walks from the site. Its possible to walk to the beach from the site without too much difficulty.

Excellent

Initially booked for me, my hubby and my dad for 4 nights. Myself and my dad were so relaxed here the two of us stayed on for an additional 5 nights. It’s the first time I have been “in charge” of the van but felt completely safe and the site staff were always friendly. The site was impeccably clean and peaceful. I have read a review stating that children were riding their bikes constantly, well we were happy to see children getting exercise, they were not noisy or annoying . We will be revisiting! Thank you Sutton-on-Sea staff! Sandra Stringfellow

Everything you could ask for.

Firstly, lets get the only negative point out of the way. Serviced pitch 99 - Its the only spot that gets left til the last. it faces other plots head on, if pitched as per instruction it can be tight although were told it can be done to put up an awning. We chose not tp as pur straps wouldnt fit into the tarmac the plot itself is smaller the the others. Now the whole site is well layed out. The serviced pitch area is in it's own little section which was nice. The Amenities block was pristine, central to the site. The service points clean and easy to access. The staff so freindly and the site dog was utterly cute ! We wantd to take him home with us. Our second trip was ruined by the wind. 2 days in a row with constant gales, and netural pruning of the trees, they were some big branches come flying towards the car and van! wardons cleared these up regulary. The site is located alone a B road which can be tight for 2 way traffic, but worth it.

Lovely site

Tucked away a short walk from the beach. Staff were great and the site immaculate. We found a really nice farm shop coffee shop next door at Poplar Farm. We had our grandson with us who is only 3 but he made use of the children's facilities. Well worth a visit and easy enough to get to.

4 Yellow Bands Hanging On A Hook

Not long returned home from a pleasant stay at a busy Sutton-on-Sea. Decent refurbishment; at last the C&MC have addressed the problem with its cisterns, and installed some toilets that don’t require a number of furious courtesy flushes. My stay reminded me of the Truman Show. Every time I looked up there were the same 3 kids going round and round on bikes. 5…4…3….2…1…and there they appear again; on an almost continual loop of the site. I don’t think they were paid actors. Back to the toilet block. The site operated a very logical system of social distancing by issuing yellow wristbands. Outside the block you placed your band over a hook as you entered. Maximum 4 people allowed, so if the hooks were full, you waited outside. Great, except the very first time I used the block, I came outside and someone had nicked my yellow band! Obviously society has completely broken down, so I did what anyone else would do and just took a band off a neighbouring hook. Pity the poor bloke after me who will have had his band nicked and, like me, would have cursed the complete breakdown of society. Next day I used the toilet block and dutifully put my band on a hook. When I came out all hooks were occupied. Now then, which hook did I use? In all the excitement of the decent flush system I’d completely forgotten if it was hook 2 or hook 4. So went for hook 3. Either way, there was a 75% chance some bloke will emerge from the toilet block yet again cursing the complete breakdown of society. Next morning I tried to use the toilet block and it was like day 5 at Glastonbury. Note to C&MC; please don’t clean the blocks at 10am. How can I put this politely, try to pick a time which is not going to be during peak demand, especially when only 4 people are allowed to enter at a time. There was the same disappointing trudge back to the caravan every morning. It was all quite stressful if I'm honest, but hats off to my Thetford C250 cassette. It can take anything, and I mean anything. Waves at Alan Partridge. Of course my son found the whole system hilarious. Reckoned he was at more danger from being hit by one of those 3 kids on their bikes, than being struck down by mystery viruses. Fair point.

Great place to stay

Our first visit after some years away from caravanning and the club. Great to be back. Staff are excellent and work hard to keep the site in pristine condition. Overall exceeded expectations in the current climate. Would highly recommend.
