Perfect break

We have visited this site a few times now and it never disappoints, in fact, we stayed and extra night. Wardens are very friendly and helpful - nothing is too much trouble for them. Facilities are spotless and well maintained. We always cycle when here and it's just a short ride along the lane to the Promenade which can take you from Huttoft to Mablethorpe. All in all a cracking site.

Best Welcome in 20 years of touring

Nicest wardens we have come across. Made to feel you were an individual not a number like on most sites. Were warmly welcomed, told to find a pitch, have a cup of tea/lunch then to go back office with pitch number. Amazing. Excellent facilities block, always open, no key or pass code required which is a plus. Great family shower room. Large pitches and a choice of how you want to pitch which we have never come across before. Ideal location for beach which is a good 20 plus minute walk from site. Beautiful sunset area over fields on site access road. We will definitely visit again hoping for the same sunny atmosphere.

Perfect Stay

Had a cracking 2 night break at Sutton on Sea, peaceful, good sized pitches and the facilities were spotless throughout. A friendly welcome on arrival and all information we needed was given, including visiting food offerings (Pizza on the Saturday, Chippy during the week). Nice dog walk around the Site and easy access to the beach down quiet roads or footpaths. We walked to Mablethorpe and then back to Sutton on Sea to enjoy the Vintage on Sea festival that was happening that weekend. All in all, a perfect stay and will definitely be returning soon. The only thing I would say is that I would not be arriving early as the road in is very narrow and so adhere to the Post 1300 arrival as 2 units passing could be problematic.

nice clean quiet site

As experienced Caravanners we looked at site directions make sure you read them as google would have taken us the wrong way as narrow lanes was greeted at site by friendly staff was given choice of pitches left and was glad there was one left close to facilities serviced pitch was so easy to set up and enjoy our stay, we had plenty of walks to sandilands NT,(free for Members to park) great for walks along the beach as all concrete so not rough nice little walk to sutton on sea town nice little cafe on sea front or you can go a bit further to maplethorpe but dont stop at dreams as all it serves is drink no food, best going into town for that

Gem of a campsite!

What a great place to stay. The pitches look all to be flat and well spaced amongst the trees. We stayed on pitch 14 which had plenty of room. Even at the end of June it is so quiet here. The facilities are spotless with good areas for laundry and washing up. There is a large play area for children and the proximity to the beach means they wouldn’t get bored. The area is really good for walkers and cyclists. The sea promenade is tarmac and stretches from Huttoft to Mablethorpe and is wide enough for bikes and walkers. The cafe at the Huttoft beach car park is lovely. The lanes round about are suitable for walkers and cyclists and there is a disused railway, lovely for a walk (we used Coastal Country Park Walks maps). You must visit the Fat Seagull Cafe on Sea Lane - great cakes! The seaside is easily accessible and Sutton town centre a 30 minute walk on pavements. Our only criticism of the site is the signage. There are no signs off the A52 onto Crabtree Lane and the sign for the site is only visible at the last minute. We’ll definitely be back!!

Excellent Site, just needs a pub to walk to ....

Our first stay here at Sutton on Sea and it didnt disappoint. All pitches are flat and large, and were certainly well taken care of. The wardens were helpful and friendly, and the facilities were of the new CMC standard so were modern in appearance, and always clean. There were no nearby pubs, and as the site is a little way out from Sutton on Sea, it requires a 20m walk if no car or bike/ bus to get there. There are Fish and Chip and Pizza vans that visit the site, but the Fish and chip are a little late for us to eat (7.15 Weds, 8.00 Mons) and we missed the Pizza on Fridays. We cycled to Alford via the many lanes that are in the area, and also used a cycle map located in the Information room. This was helpful to refer to as we did take the wrong turn on occasions. Alford is a pretty little village, but many places are shut on a Monday. Took the bus into Skegness from the end of the entrance lane, and were pleasantly surprised. It was clean, tidy, no litter, and once you walked away from the amusement arcades and the 'tat' shops, there were some lovely quiet walks around the gardens and proms. Also cycled to Mablethorpe along the prom passing all the beach huts. The town is bigger than Sutton but is a smaller version of Skegness.

neat and tidy

site is easy to access. Welcoming helpful wardens. Site is within walking distance of coast but maybe a bit of a stretch to Sutton itself. Dog walk on site is small but adequate, longer walk outside the gate and round the perimeter of the site. The area has plenty to do but is not everyone's idea of fun. Its not teeming with nightlife. I would have expected teens to find it dull. The site is very well kept and the block is just about the nicest and cleanest ive seen. What its like in high season, who knows? The site office actually sells a few essential items which is a refreshing change of late. I love the new way of siting the outfit, caravan awning car instead of car caravan awning, makes far more sense and is user friendly. will bw back at some point.

A little gem of a siteYhis is a

This is a gem of a site that is tended with loving care by the site wardens, for whom nothing is too much trouble. It is a regular stay for me being a short journey from home and I can walk my dog with ease to the beach and beyond. The facilities are beautiful and clean, I have yet to see them otherwise!!!. The central bin area is sensible as it cuts cost on all the plastic bags that were used in the dustbins at the water points. There are also for the size of the site adequate dog bins, and recently the pitching points have been slightly altered to give a larger privacy area for each pitch, again a good idea. Overall a little gem, BUT as always it is/can be spoilt by the minority who fail to clear up after their dog, and the latest trend of putting caravan/dog rubbish in the waste bin in the toilet block. To those I say do not spoil it for the majority who do as they are told. I have only given four stars for a family setting as I do not know what a family requires or otherwise, and those with young children please ensure that if on bikes or scooters, that they follow the directional arrows around the site

No path up road and traffic could be fast. Not many lights around. Once enough for us.

Exceptional place to stay!

I heartily recommend this campsite for basically any need you have. Morris and Helen were amazing when I had a disaster with my rear windscreen and I smashed it whilst I was out - they could not do enough to help me get sorted and able to drive my vehicle. I cannot thank them enough. As far as the campsite goes, plenty of space and amazing facilities, so clean, coupled with excellent dog walks direct off site. There was a wonderful play area in the corner. There is a 10min walk to the nearest beach but a 10min drive and you find a really sandy beach with cafe and toilet plus dogs allowed too. I will definitely be back for a visit, thank you Morris and Helen.
