On the edge

A pleasant, level site with a choice of grass or gravelled hard-standing pitches. It is ideally located for anyone who enjoys an old-fashioned seaside holiday, being so close to Sutton on Sea and within a 20 minute walk of Sandilands promenade. Nice for an off-season break too. There is plenty of countryside to explore, with a number of walking routes, which can be joined close to the site. East Lindsey's Coastal Park is an attractive, largely unspoilt area bordering the sand dunes. There's plenty of free car parking and it's easy to find a picnic spot. The old market town of Alford is within a short drive, where the Manor House and Museum of Rural Life is a must for anyone interested in gadgets and machinery from a bygone age. The volunteer staff are enthusiastic and informative. The main thing, which lets this site down is its ageing and tired toilet block, which needs a radcal overhaul to bring it up to modern standards.
