This was our first time visiting this site, received a very nice welcome from the staff when booking in, as it was our first visit all amenities and locations explained. Located a very nice pitch on the lower level close to the basic water facilities and not too far away from the shower block. As our visit was in the first few days of October the weather wasn’t grand but we enjoyed our time here, it gave us the opportunity to visit Barnard Castle on market day as well as lovely locations such as High and Low Force on the River Tees. Seeing the torrent of water coming down the waterfalls was photogenic. Overall this site is a brilliant place to visit as it gives you the opportunity to relax in a very peaceful environment. A bonus was being able to listen to and trying to spot the owls that seemed to be prolific in the woods to the south of the site. We shall return to this site in the future of that I am positive.
