Nice for a visit. But probably wouldn’t return.
Friendly wardens who keep the large and very clean shower block spotless. We were grateful that the closing times for the cleaning were in the afternoon instead of the morning. The wardens were also really vigilant in dealing with some irresponsible dog owners who were letting their dogs off the lead etc.
Excellent location for visiting Tewkesbury. Can get very wet - we had a gravel pitch - was great. Would not recommend grass pitches.
The site is usual CAMC standards although was disappointed that it’s basically surrounded by council flats and houses and a car park.
The Abbey is well worth a visit. If you fancy a meal out or takeaway then Salerno Italian is fantastic.
Tewkesbury itself is a mix of beautiful historic buildings and tatty looking houses. Not your ‘traditional’ Cotswold feel to it.
