Pretty, peaceful site

A pretty site, situated, as the name says, in a valley. It is therefore on quite a slope from top (reception), to the bottom pitches, so if you are a little infirm, this site isn’t for you. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. We didn’t find a nearby pub, but takeaway vans are available on some nights through the week. The dog walk is lovely, running along the side of the site through wooded paths, which are nice and shaded for your dog to run around and explore. Again, as it runs alongside the site, the walk is on quite a slope from top to bottom. There are a number of walks from the site, which you can buy a little booklet from reception for £1 with them all detailed out for you. We took the 3 mile walk down to Perranporth beach, which is dog friendly and then into the town, which has lots of cafes, pubs and shops to explore. There is also a Co-op to stock up on those essential supplies. The beach was very busy when we visited late June, so would imagine it will be packed during school holidays. The walk back up was a little harder, climbing the equivalent of 20 floors, according to my I-Phone. My tip is to wear decent walking shoes, as the path can be a bit uneven and wet underfoot, especially if it’s rained. My husband managed to find an extremely boggy section of path and ended up with very dirty boots and socks! There is a handy outside shower at the shower and toilet block for cleaning your dog; bikes (good luck with the hills); wetsuits. We really liked this site and found it very tranquil. We would definitely come back 😄
