A beautiful site, ideally placed to walk the SW Coastal Path. The path was laden with pretty spring flowers near the site, but the walks to Tintagel and Boscastle were quite challenging. The bus stops at the top of the steep drive leading to the site, and we enjoyed our day trips by bus to Tintagel and Bude. We also enjoyed a walk to St Nectan's Glen. We chose pitch 2, which was in a quiet area and had 3 amazing views, the sea, the hills, and the village. The facilities were great, but the water in the ladies' showers wasn't as hot as I would have liked. We would certainly return.
Stunning Location
Stayed here for the first time for 6 nights. Followed the club's directions to the site and the roads weren't too bad, just a bit narrow in parts but passing places. The wardens worked tirelessly to keep the site pristine and we were always greeted with a friendly wave. Different system in place for arrival, you pick up a pot at reception and walk around the site to choose your pitch securing it with the pot and then report back. The views are absolutely breath taking from most pitches, we decided not to put up an awning as it is open to the elements being on top of a cliff. We walked along the coastal path to Tintagel via Rocky Valley and the other way to Boscastle. Both ways are a moderate walk, only a few miles but are rocky in places and some steep inclines and descents therefore recommend packing hiking boots. The bus stops on the road above the site convenient for Tintagel which is beautiful and enjoyed a cream tea at Charleys and we also spent a morning in Bude, the bus route is lovely and passes many coves. We also visited Port Isaac and Padstow which were lovely. The sunsets are amazing and wish we'd visited sooner as it's now one of our favourites and look forward to returning again.
Superb Site
Had a week here in April when the sun finally decided to shine. Perfect timing!
The site is amazing. Incredible views from all pitches. Can be windy given its position.
The staff work really hard and are very friendly and helpful. Lovely clean facilities, disposal & refuse/recycle points cleaned meticulously every morning, lots of hot water in the toilet block and powerful showers.
Short walks by road to Boscastle & Tintagel, longer walks by the glorious coast path: harder work but so worthwhile.
Will definitely come back.
A credit to the C&MC
Amazing view from your van
Our first visit to this site and we were warmly welcomed by the warden who gave us excellent advice on choosing our pitch.
The shower block was immaculate if a little dated.
The site is kept in excellent condition.
The views are wonderful, both sea views, rocks and cliffs countryside views. There are numerous walks from the site and around every corner is another fabulous view.
We loved this site and will return.
Stunning site
We stayed here last week (April 2024) for just one night sadly. But what a lovely site.
The check in was easy, and you get to choose which pitch you would like.
All pitches have amazing views owing to the carefully thought out pitch layouts .
Facilities are excellent and spotless , including the waste and chemical disposal points .
Great walks directly from site with amazing views .
Totally recommend this one and will definitely be going back in he summer.
One night wished it was more
This site is stunning the views are amazing, even a windy Easter weekend couldn't take away the enjoyment of the area, the site is very tidy and toilets and shower are spotless, hopefully get back again one day.
Simply Stunning
This is our 2nd visit here and the same as last time it was a wonderful site, soooo clean, the wardens were very friendly. Stunning views and a good location to do some coastal walks to Boscastle and Tintagel. We only live in Truro but it was so nice to stay local and explore the coast. Im sure we will be back again.....Thank you.
Fantastic Site
Beautiful scenery, lovely clean site & friendly helpful staff. Really enjoyed it & will be back ASAP
Lovely site but price has shot up since last visit.
Out third visit and finally we were blessed with some wonderful weather to enjoy the wonderful views.
It's a shame the shop has stopped but I guess it was a lot of work. The only option now is to go to Tintagel which is a 5 min drive or a couple of hours round walk (pretty challenging via the coast path) so don't run out of milk/wine!
No complaints about the site itself but this was our first visit to a CMC site this year and we were shocked at the increase in price. We paid 32pn for 2 adults in October compared to 21pn in Sept 2020. I appreciate the Club's cost have gone up but £64 for 2 nights away in a campervan feels like too much. Perhaps charging a small amount for dogs might enable the Club to keep prices down for those of us without?
One star deducted from 'peace and quiet' but that was due to the nearby caravan with its TV turned up loud and windows open.
Wonderful
Once again we had another wonderful stay at Trewethett.
Stunning views and walks from site.
Spotless facilities and lovely helpful staff.
Another great holiday, many thanks all at Trewethett
