Fantastic Views BUT Dodgy Power & WiFi

Been here 3 times and have 2 more booked in 2015, so must like it! Not perfect though...power keeps going off, wifi dog slow, and the mowers and staff golf buggies fly around the site like they're the emergency services!!!

windy weather but brilliant breath taking views make up for it

This was our 2nd visit here within the last 10 months and the reason being it is such a brilliant, clean site with breath taking views and walks... waking up to the sea waves hitting the rocks are simply stunning...ideal for walking or just relaxing, your choice...and warden Tom Unwin is such a lovely man who always found 5 minutes to talk...such a very nice man... weather was so windy for the 4 days we stayed there but hey,it was march/april and it is England so what do we expect, still can't wait to go back hopefully when the weathers more sunny... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED...

Stunning

This is a really great site, the views are fantastic and the facilities are first class. Based in a beautiful part of England with loads of places to visit and beautiful walks. Warm and friendly staff with on-site CD hire. Walking into either Tintagel or Boscastle is really rewarding with stunning views. Totally recommended, you'll not be disappointed.

Great out of season break

Amazing view on entering the site. No problems getting there, directions excellent! Lucky with the weather which was glorious for March, may have been a different experience in bad weather. Not a lot in the immediate area for families with children, need to be keen on walking and exploring but if so, the walks and views are amazing. Bus service is limited but useful. Staff friendly and helpful and relaxed. Need to be stocked up as no shops etc nearby especially if in a motorhome with no car but we went prepared. Loved our 4 days here!

Superb coastal views

We have just returned from a week on this terrific site. The coastal views from virtually all the pitches are stunning. The site is very well maintained and cared for. The wardens, who we gather have just started at this site, could not have been more welcoming and helpful. We were there primarily for a family wedding, which was held in St Materiana's Church on top of the hill overlooking Tintagel Castle - another stunning location with easy cliff top walks from the church (limited parking there). The reception was held at the Boscastle Farm Shop, about a mile on the north side of Boscastle. It was one of the best meals we have had for a long time - well worth sampling for a lunchtime visit (booking advised). Being on top of the cliff, the CC site is exposed to the wind, both on- and off- shore. We were caught out by unforecast gale force off-shore winds associated with a rainfront one evening/night. The hardstandings are very hard and thus my rockpegs and screws were perhaps not fully embedded and we found our Kampa air porch awning waving about halfway along the awning rail when we returned after a brief outing. Fortunately the awning has survived its experience without any damage. I said that the winds were not forecast - they were not mentioned in any of the local (land) forecasts, but I later found they had been predicted in the shipping forecast. So the moral of this story is - when camped on the coast keep an eye on the shipping forecast!

The most Beautiful site in Cornwall

In one word.....brilliant! Best site we have visited to date. Not so good for Children as no beach nearby. The wardens were great. Thank you.
