We booked onto this site for 2 nights on our way home following a four night stay in Devon. The weather changed as we arrived at the site, from gloriously hot to foggy, then windy and then very wet, but despite this we really enjoyed a few days on the site. The wardens were excellent, very friendly and helpful, and working hard around the site to keep everything in order. We disagree with the comments in other reviews about the pitch selection process. The nature of the site (long, narrow with short cut-de-sacs) would make it impossible for new arrivals to drive around to find their pitch, so there has to be a walk. And yes, it is uphill, and all those 1.00pm arrivals are rushing around trying to find the best pitch before all the others. But we could not see what other option the site has other to just allocate pitch numbers. The layout ensures that every pitch has a superb view, although, of course the ‘front row’ are the most desirable. The main facilities block was clean and offered plenty of showers and toilets for the site capacity. I am not sure why the club has chosen to set up portakabin facilities higher up the site, there didn't seem to be any pressure on the main ones on the days/nights we were there when the site was just about full, and they are not that far apart either. But then of course, it is your choice if you decide to use them. The site has excellent access onto the coastal path for walks, and a bus stop nearby should you want to get out without your car/motorhome. There is plenty to see and do should you choose to go further but we were happy exploring the local stretch of coast path and enjoying the flora, fauna and views. The changing weather changed the view by the hour. It was our first time at this site, but we will definitely be back to enjoy the site and the location again.
