Good for families

Lovely stay with friends but not unfortunately together!

We are new to the club and so were our friends. We had a space all set up but unfortunately our friends booked a full service spot and when we met at reception I gave the number of the non service spot we wanted them so they were next to us. Sadly this seemed to completely upset the staff and the amount of effort involved meant they basically refused to move the pitch. We found this strange but accepted and spent the week walking from one end to the other for joint activities. One hopes this can be avoided for those who miss understand pitch terms and that when possible friends can also be neighbours on such a nice site

It’s not possible to reserve paricular numbered pitches on club sites, Col, or even to reserve a HS/grass pitch. All you can do is book a serviced pitch, an awning pitch or non-awning pitch.

It's strictly first come, first served and you select from those available of the type you have booked.

The only exception is the reservation of pitches for the less able bodied by contacting the warden.

By arriving together, you stand a better chance of getting adjoining pitches.

Personally I think it ridiculous that there should be any problem changing booking from serviced pitch to none serviced on arrival assuming site was not full. In fact I have made the change on arrival myself about 5 years ago having booked a serviced pitch in error.
