We hadn't been to Troutbeck Head for many years and had forgotten everything about it. After a few days there last week, I don't know why we don't go more often! It's a large site, but with the way it's set out with curved roads and plenty of grass and trees, it doesn't seem overwhelming.  We had typical Cumbrian weather - wild, wet and windy for two days, and the last day hot sun! When the clouds lifted we had good views of Blencathra - especially the sunsets. There's no Wifi - but we got a very good 3G signal with EE, so could tether my Ipad to my phone and pick up emails etc.
