Can I start by saying I am mystified by the comments about the wardens , stayed here a couple of times this year the wardens were welcoming and very helpful . The toilet blocks are clean and are cleaned as in all CMC sites to a high standard. The showers are a little dated , but certainly clean. The location is peaceful with a Waitrose supermarket within 15 mins walk. For those that like to exercise the race course makes a great jogging route and there is plenty to do in the locality. We have not tried visiting on a race day , but given the location of the site and its proximity to the course I would imagine it’s quite an occasion.
