We stopped at this site for a couple of nights recently, in fairness because we couldn't get a pitch at another preferred site. We had never stopped here before and enjoy visiting all of the sites to see which we like for a longer stay. I read many good and indifferent views before arriving and was unsure of what to expect. Initially the site is very much a club run, but not owned site. It reminded me of what the Club site at Durham was like before the Club bought it from the local Council. The facilities are old and showers small but always clean, and the grass areas and small hedges tidy. We managed to get Wi-fi on our pitch and good TV signal. The site road is very dusty and soon makes it way into the unit and the service points are all mostly placed around toilet block. The racecourse was gearing up for a race meeting when we were there so there was some noise from generators and fridge units but not annoyingly so. The site started to fill up when we were departing, with some arriving at 10:50? We will definitely return again for a short stay but I can't see the facilities improving any time soon. Wardens are Great though.
