Great site
Lovely young lady warden who greeted us warmly and was a mine of information about the local area. Facilities are dated and basic (I believe they belong to the racecourse) but are clean and perfectly adequate. It’s a short walk into town which
is unremarkable but pleasant enough. The pubs in the town are OK but few serve food. The large Marstons pub on the dual carriageway near the station does serve food but is not dog friendly. This site would be a good base for the Peak District or the excellent Truma Service Centre which is 6 miles away and was the reason for our visit.
