We stayed here at the beginning of November race day when unfortunately the site was extremely wet from heavy rainfall. Positives... Brilliant helpful wardens, backed us onto pitch in the dark and couldn't do enough to help throughout our stay. They also maintained the site extremely well, keeping it clean and tidy. The discounted raceday tickets were great and the experience on the day was fantastic even with the bad weather we had. The site is in a great location and the town of Uttoxeter is lovely to visit. Negatives... We found the toilet block although usable and kept very clean they were very tired and are really ideally in need of an update to give this site a boost of appeal to bring it up to the standard on other club sites. The roadway around the site itself was very potholed. We had an elderly parent with us who found it difficulty traversing the pathway to the shower block from our pitch. This also made the paths hard to walk along in anything other than winter boots due to the many puddles in the potholes during the wet weather. Especially as the grass was very boggy being late in the season it would've helped if the roadway was better maintained to walk along to the toilet block and reception. It's such a shame as we did thoroughly enjoy our stay here and even with these few negatives we would still revisit in the future for both racedays or if we needed to stay in the local area.
