Recently returned from running an ICFR [International Caravanning Fellowship of Rotarians] at Uttoxeter Racecourse Club site and I can't praise and commend the Wardens Sally and Steve highly enough. From the moment of first meeting they went out of their way to help and make us welcome during a period of very wet weather even to putting flowers in the main club awning where we met for morning coffee 'just to cheer it up'. After first meeting they remembered every persons name [ a great skill in itself and helps to make us welcome], they provided mats so that we could avoid soggy ground, pointed us to where we could borrow chairs and tables and simply went the extra mile to ensure we had a successful rally. Sal and Steve are without doubt an asset to the Caravan and Motorhome Club and are working exceptionally hard to uplift an old site with dated amenities [that actually belong to the racecourse not the club]. Everything is spotlessly clean and attractive flower beds are in the early stages of being established. If allowed to stay for another year or so Sal and Steve will have lifted the site to be among the best in the Midlands. As a club we simply can't thank them enough for all they did for us. Real gems. Thank you for helping to make our rally the happy and successful gathering it was.
