Good for Stopover or Warwick Visit

We stayed here on our final night of a 3 week tour. Access was good and we found the wardens welcoming and friendly. Small site in the middle of the racecourse, perfectly placed for walking into Warwick and the surrounding area. Shower facilities clean but tired. This is a very popular site and was full when we stayed, but we felt like we were in a bit of a car park not a CAMC site, but perfect for us a stopover.

Great location, but poor pitches and lack of choice over pitch. Avoid on race days!

We arrived at the site on a Monday and hadn't realised that the Eater race was due to happen on the Thursday. We had booked for a week and despite the site being pretty empty we were offered a choice of 4 pitches. There were pitches with cones on which were apparently reserved for units that arrived later and stayed for just a couple of nights. We also noted smaller units being allocated bigger pitches that we had not been allowed to use. We asked for a larger pitch but were told that our pitch was a 7.5m pitch so was suitable for our 7,5m motorhome. The back of motorhome was against hedge and the front was over the road and we were unable to access the bike rack on the rear of the motorhome. The distance between the front of our pitch and the vehicle opposite was extremely tight and must have challenged the 3m fire break rule. This narrowness of the road on a bend had clearly posed a challenge to campers as the grass was churned up and chained off around the roadway. All of this was a shame as this site is a fabulous location for campers with dogs and the town and supermarkets are really close by. The disabled facilities are poor as the floor in the shower room is uneven and doesn't drain well.

One night only.

Stayed for one night on our way South. We were on an economy non EHU positioned beside the pathway around the race course, and right near the park entry/exit. It was fine for one night but due to the position had people walking very closely along either side of the van so little privacy. Facilities were warm and clean, easy access to town centre, and a warm welcome from the wardens. Would stay again if next in the area, but probably opt for an EHU pitch even though we don't need it.

Overnight Stay

A great location for an overnight stay. Efficient admission with instructions as we arrived late the office was shut. Good, clean toilet block - can't comment on the shower as not used. Easy to access the dog walk. Quiet overnight. Would stay again.

Great stop over location

Our first year of motor-homing and found this site to be the perfect location to break our journey north / south. Easy access from M40. Really nice site layout with good choice of pitch types. Great options for dog walking direct from the site as well as short walk into the town for supplies and eating options - as well as the castle. Site hosts (Sally & Steve during our visit) were really friendly & helpful and made sure the facilities were immaculate. Going to be frequent visitors; next stopover already booked!

Great site in the centre of Warwick

We spent one night on an economy pitch without electric hook up which was along side the footpath around the racecourse. Had a lovely quiet night and site facilities are clean and warm. Very friendly staff and altogether a great site.

Pitch perfect

Nothing to dislike about the site and choice of pitches. We chose non awning and found a lovely position at the back of the site furthest away from the racing track. We would have been as happy on the front tarmac area all the same or on any of the grass pitches. In my opinion, there was every kind of pitch available to suit every need. The wardens were friendly, hard working and very approachable. The motorhome service point wasn't situated in the easiest of places and we had to turn our outfit around to use the waste drain. I hope this will be updated to a drive over grid at some pont. We walked some 8 miles there and back from the site to Hatton Locks. Warwick itself sadly I thought was soulless. There was no atmosphere in the town but a caveat to that was the history and architecture which we found interesting and beautiful. We did walk to the castle but didn't go in as the carpark was heaving with coaches and we didn't fancy battling with crowds of people. We were lucky to experience a day, well afternoon at the races and it was nice to be amongst fellow camc members enjoying the atmosphere without leaving the site. We would happily visit the site again and maybe use it as a base to visit more of the area as I believe public transport is very good for Stratford upon Avon and Royal Leamington Spa.

A great place!

We love this site and have returned many times. It is ideally located for visiting places of interest and has a number of eateries within a reasonable walking distance. An added bonus is the horse racing, on race days! Fab site, in a fab location!

Lovely Jubbly

What a little gem. Lovely, helpful and cheerful staff. Great pitch by the racecourse, with lovely views. A beautiful, medieval town a short walk away. Fantastic dog walk outside the gate. For us, perfect. We will definitely be back. Could write a book but how boring is that !! Go and see for yourselves.
