Over Priced CARPARK

First experience of a caravan club site and very disappointed, has put us off using the caravan club. 2 day visit and need to put an awning up. Cut short to 1 night due to lack of information given on booking.
Only go there if you are happy to pay an extortionate price to stay on a tarmac car park, 2 adults £24.80. We where told hard standing when booking, having seen photo's I wrongly assumed it was hard standing with grass and would have somewhere to sit out and to bbq. Very wrong, car park that if you sat out you would run the risk of being knocked over. The price is the same whatever your pitch is. Some caravan's didn't even bother to unhitch their cars. Terrible place NOT recommended at those prices, not suitable for children. We came to visit my son and young grandchildren and had the weekend ruined, time that should have been spent with my family was time wasted trying to find an alternative site for our 2nd night.

2 day stay

used the site as a stop over on our way back from the south - ideal as near the motorway, which you can hear! Very clean and tidy although shower block is somewhat dated - good for visiting Warwick and nearby tourist spots

Ideal for a night stop.

We have stayed here on many occasions on our way to and from Scotland en route to the Channel ports/tunnel.It's very easy to walk into Warwick and find plenty of eating places.

Not just a stopover!

First stayed here last year for one night on our way south and we vowed to return. We visited whilst the work was being carried out on the racecourse and yes there was disruption and a little confusion about the entrance but in fairness there was little the wardens could do about it. (They phoned me prior to our arrival to inform us of this.) We were also there at the time of the beer festival and didnt find it a problem. The facilities are governed by the racecourse apparently so again not easy to change but they were kept spotless. My only criticism would be the 10.30 closure of them, a little early for some. Overall would return,  Warwick is lovely!

Warwick Racecourse

Nice well kept site, wardens are helpful and welcoming. Whilst appreciating the site is a club managed site, it needs to come into the21st century; the ladies facilities are inadequate, no wi.fi or TV plug-in for those requiring it, dish washing facilities inadequate. The site though, is very peaceful and in easy walking distance to Warwick.

Wonderful open spaces for walking the dog

This was a wonderful site and one of our favourites because of the open spaces. The only downside was the facilities which were a bit basic after Teesdale Barnard Castle but everything else made up for that and especially the greatly helpful wardens. Warwick town was interesting with a very good antique shop in which we spent quite some time. It was an easy walk to the town too, so it was great to get food from Marks and Sparks. Their Weatherspoons was better than our local one and served up an excellent and tasty steak which was hot and cooked well. In all a lovely site to round off our annual holiday. Thank you

Warwick Racecourse club site

We have just returned from a fees days spent at this lovely site . The pitches are spacious compared to many sites and the there is a lovely atmosphere  of peace and tranquillity here . Most of our fellow campers seemed to be retirees and everyone was very friendly . The walk into Warwick town centre just took about 5 minutes and the castle is close by . The wardens keep the place in tip top order . We shall be coming back to Warwick caravan club site many times in future !

Another nice weekend!

Thanks Alison and Andy. We really enjoyed our stay. The site is in a great location as it is in walking distance to the town and castle. I agree that the toilet block is due for a makeover though but they are always clean and tidy. There is no play area here so bear that in mind if you have young children. This is our fifth stay and always enjoy it.
