Toilet times

First the good things the wardens were always helpful and friendly ,its a lovely little site ideal for dog owners due to its proximity to the beach. we have just returned from BH weekend lovely apart from Mondays down pour. Bad points 9.45 is to early for the shower block to be closed ,please caravan club amend these times. some dog owners on the small dog walk obviously had no poo bags . Lastly same old problem every site, there are a lot of drivers needing specsavers 5MPH means just that . Again cc you should be penalising drivers who break this rule.

First visit to White House Beach

Site ok but the shower closing times are worthy of review. To close at 9.45am until 11.00am with no realistic alternative shower block available was not good. We cannot remember being on a site where the showers were closed so relatively early for so long. Perhaps cleaning between say 1.00pm until 2.15pm. would be better for members. We would add that these were the views of a number of members on the site. We also had problems with the WiFi reception - we were told that the site repeaters were not working properly. After having to pay for the WiFi we found it disappointing that it did not work properly. The situation was eventually resolved - apparently a faulty repeater. We find it poor that in this modern world you have to pay for WiFi on CC sites whereas in many other places it is offered as an accepted part of the service. We make these comments as people who have been members of the CC for 30 years.

Excellent site.We were fortunate to be positioned on the area adjoining the beach. The site was clean and the toilet/shower block was good. The staff were very helpful . We had visited this site before this stay and we will certainly be returning.

Pitch condition

We have just spent 3 nights on this site over the bank holiday, the last time we were here was July 2012 and i must say the site is kept as well as it can be by the excellent wardens they can only do so much, the toilet blocks are clean and tidy as well as the waste areas where the site really lets it"s self down is the state of the hard standings it is hard to tell where the grass finishes and hard standings start weeds grow everywhere this site really needs a makeover to make it look good again.no fault to the wardens, it has not changed since we were here last time.

Our first visit

This was our first visit to "The White House Beach" site which we enjoyed very much. We were here for four nights in late August and lucky enough to get a pitch on the sea view part of the site in the front row giving us exelent views across to Lowestoft and out to sea. Although the weather was not at it's best it didn't detract from our enjoyment. A bus stop is ony about 100 yards from the site which we made use of to get a bus into Lowestoft and then on to Great Yarmouth. The site was tidy and clean as one would expect and the staff were very pleasant and most helpful. We will certainly return.

Excellent site

Really lovely site. Clean and quiet. The shower and toilet blocks were spotless and waste areas just as clean and organised. Loved it. The staff was so happy and helpful.  Will definitely return.

Fantastic Break

We arrived in good time and were invited to take the last beach-side pitch and walked up to view. We decided however that as no awnings are allowed on front line to pitch in the main body of the site and choose No 60 on a corner adjacent to several non awning pitches. The pitch was a good size and had a booster for TV if required (we managed without and had excellent reception). With awning up we were extremely comfortable and peaceful, yes the children were playing but surely we all love that! Early morning walks on the expansive "beach" certainly woke me up. We enjoyed a superb Sunday Lunch in the pub and partook of the Beer & music festival over the weekend. Gt Yarmouth, Gorleston, Lowestoft, Oulton Broad and Southwold / Walberswick were all easily reached and we found the close proximity of a large Morrisons supermarket on the A12 towards Lowestoft very useful Although there is a Co-Op in Kessingland which is well stocked together with The Beach Hut shop for smaller items. All in All very enjoyable and we would certainly recommend the site & facilities to anyone and most certainly hope to build a visit into next years itinerary

Great Site...Will Be Back

We stayed here on a 3 day...Monday to Wednesday and it is an easy to find site and of course close to the beach. We were offered a beach side pitch but we opted to stay on the inland side of the site as a preference to allow others on longer stays to go to the beach side. The site is well set out and appointed, wardens couldn't be better....Kessingland is one of those small seaside places with few facilities so if you have a preference for foods bring them in or Lowestoft is just up the road. Easy drive to Southwold and I was thinking while I was there....wouldn't it be great for the Caravan Club to purchase and run....the ever so expensive and run down council owned camping site in the town..... We will be back ....

Great Stay

Great stay at Kessingland. Arrived in plenty of time wardens very helpful. We chose a pitch on the beach front on the second row very nice pitch but too near the road very noisy traffic most of the day next time we will choose front row near beach it appears a lot quieter or perhaps a pitch on the main site well away from the road. Lovely walks for the dog along beach. Had a few drinks at the local pub which is dog friendly also during our stay they had a beer festival with live bands. Lovely fish & chips from van on a Friday at the site. In all we had a great 3 days and will return before the end of the year.
