Good for families

Not for families - very unwelcoming.

This site is not for families. The very small play area was in fact closed and condemned. From the moment we arrived, we have never been made to feel more unwelcome. Our very well-behaved children were spoken to on numerous occasions - for simply riding their bicycles around the site. They were not allowed to play with any type of ball due to the "No ball games rule" even though we observed other guests playing swing ball and football. They were "told off" for carrying a ball on site when coming back from the beach. We have only given a rating of 1 in these areas because it was a required field - we would rate the overall and Good for families section as zeros. I am sure that they will provide a very reasonable response to this review (if it actually even makes the website) but don't go there if you are a family - no fun of any kind allowed.

Comment from the Club

We are sorry you don't feel the site is very family friendly and we would like to assure you that our Site Staff always do their utmost to welcome families and help them have the best time on the Club campsite. We do have Club Site Rules in place to ensure everyone staying on the campsite has the best possible time and as such we ask that ball games are played in the dedicated area. As such if children do play football on the campsite then we ask our site staff to please ask them to go the ball game area. Please be assured our site staff did not just speak to you about this but will politely speak to anyone they see breaking Club Site rules to ensure that all members on site have an enjoyable stay. With regards to cycling on site, your children were more than welcome to ride their bikes but as it was a busy day with members arriving and leaving, our team just wanted to ask them to take care as safety is a top priority on our Club campsites, especially when outfits are maneuvering off and onto pitches.
