Not Quiet

This is most definitely a family only site, lots of children zooming around on bikes and scooters, it seemed every pitch had a dog that was constantly barking. Not a site for couples on there own. Overall the site is very clean and the facilities were immaculate and the staff in the reception are extremely helpful.

Great site but access to Bude more difficult than advertised

This site is lovely good facilities and views and excellent service. Our only gripe was the difficulty and distance to walk to Bude. The distance to the beach and canal area is about 2.2 miles (mainly downhill) not 1.5 miles. This involves walking through Poughill, narrow road, no footpath lots of bends and lots of traffic, it doesn't feel very safe. We found cycling easier as the traffic appeared to have more respect for cyclists than walkers. The Pub in Poughill did a lovely meal and felt very Covid safe it was busy so best to book. Take a torch in the evening again there is the traffic and narrow road. None of this is a problem, of course, if you are going to drive everywhere Other than this Bude is lovely and the site is good but next time we will look for somewhere nearer.

Super site

Our 6 week motorvan trip to Spain had to be cancelled due to covid times. UK sites here we come. Wooda was booked for one of our weeks and what a really pleasant surprise. The site had a continental feel with a very friendly reception and groundswork team, exceptionally clean toilet blocks and lovely pitches. We enjoyed our week so much that we stayed another week. This site has been a real discovery and for us a positive result out of covid. Thank you to everyone

Great site with neat privacy hedging.. good value as they accept CC ACSI out of main season.

Large well maintained site with great facilities. We liked the continental style privacy hedging and the availability of picnic tables. Tip for those moaning about stingy £1 off for CAMC members .. apart from the main Summer 6 week season and Whitsun this site accepts the ACSI Camping Card and is currently £18 pn. This is a considerable saving on standard CAMC rates and includes a dog (which you normally pay extra for). Although this is for a standard hardstanding or grass pitch and not one of the many fully serviced pitches. I am fine with filling and emptying my water to save over £10 a night.

One of the best affiliated sites

We stayed for the third consecutive year here again for 12 nights. Great family site - kids love the freedom, space and variety of activites for all age groups. Its proximity to Bude 1.5 miles away gives it privacy whilst it hosts its own take-away, pub and cocktail bar. High season provides local musical entertainement 2 nights a week - 'Cousin Jack' are fabulous. Facilites wise its super clean, well managed, lovely appropriate gardens, and a well stocked late open shop. Compared to prices charged for high season on other CC sites, its well worth trying out.

Very well run site - although only giving a £1 a night discount to club members was a bit steep

We stayed here for 3 nights - in the rain and the mist - which was so thick that we couldn't see across the field where we were staying! We walked down into Bude on the one sunny day - and got a taxi back, as it's a steep descent, and we chickened out of the walk back up the hill! The reception staff were really helpful. The shop was well stocked. The laundrette was great - washer and dryers - the weather was too wet to hang it out!! When the sun came out there were stunning coastal views - and many of the pitches (we were in the top field) had great views. This was the closest to a French campsite we have seen in the UK - pitches separated by hedges to give a modicum of privacy. I'd certainly recommend it to anyone - but it would certainly be better to have a car (not the motorhome!) for access to visit other places.

A great site!

We had a lovely break over the half term and wish we could have stayed longer. The owners were so friendly and helpful and helped us choose the best pitch for us - one with a fabulous sea view. The site is immaculate, as are the facilities. The dog walk is the best we've seen and the nature walk is great for adults and children alike! The takeaway is handy, the food very good indeed and the price reasonable. The area is lovely for a holiday with lots to see and do. The serviced pitch made life very easy and the picnic table a nice touch. We will return.

Stunning location overlooking the North Cornwall coast and lovely town of Bude

Magnificent is the word that comes to mind when we arrived at this site - the presentation, location and layout is excellent. We stayed for 10 nights at the end of September. The facilities are first class with three heated toilet blocks. Plenty of showers available with toilets and washing facilities heated and spotlessly clean. There is a well stocked shop, takeaway fast food on 5 evenings, as well as restaurant & bar on the site. With excellent views and recreational activities what more would you want. The super pitches are divided by low hedges but are actually quite small but enough room to fit caravan with awning and car, but with not much outside space left. We were allocated a pitch on arrival which on first impressions was fine, but later we discovered it was mostly in the shade other than late afternoon (partially due to hedge & trees - and later we found out it was north facing!!). That was a shame especially as the weather when we were there was brilliant sunshine which weren’t able to take full advantage of. Lesson learnt - there were plenty of pitches which have good sea views and it was disappointing we weren’t allocated one of those, especially as we booked in March!! Notwithstanding that fact we shall definitely be back to Wooda, as even though we had a little wobble over the location of the pitch allocated, it did not detract from the overall enjoyment of the site. The lovely seaside town of Bude is within easy walking distance (about 30 minutes) - downhill all the way hence the opposite on the return. An excellent location for exploring the rugged North Devon and Cornish Coast with its plethora of quaint fishing & smuggling villages. Oh, and last but not least - the sunsets were absolutely stunning.

First time

Well this was our first time at Woodfarm and it won't be our last . General appearance of the site:- clean and tidy well looked after , the staff were friendly and very knowledgeable of the surrounding areas . Then we was shown to our pitch they are already allocated to you as you book , remember its not a club site but ( affiliated ) its what they do , i too have read the reviews . Toilets and wash rooms were clean and tidy , i love the hole cubicle affect shower/toilet/wash basin/hair dryer (not that i needed one) but i will say one thing to you club members that read this and yes again i've read the reviews " when you use these facillities provided you can guarantee someone else has used them before you which is certainly no fault to the staff at chirp of sparrow or late at night at how they have been left . The site and staff are excellent . And as for the A35 we've stayed at Maidstone and you can hear the Euro stars and their about 2 miles away as the crow fly's if you want peace and quiet there is always St.Martins in the Isles of Scilly
