First holiday with Caravan Club Great

We have just come home after a week at this site, and I have to say it was lovely. The wardens Andrew and his wife couldn't have been more helpful as we had problems with the tourer. The showers were brilliant and we have no complaints,we will be back again with the family and would definitely recommend it

Loved it

Our first time here and will definitely be back. Wardens very friendly and helpful, the facilities were first class, and the site in a lovely position. Bus stop at the end of the drive near the Toby Carvery (not the one through the village), easy and quick access to York. We really liked it here and would highly recommend it.

Excellent stay

Having just spent our first visit to this excellent site the four days were over to soon, The site is very easy to find with no difficulties to the access to and is close to all of Yorks superb attractions. Brilliant park and ride really close to site so no problems worrying about parking in York. Friendly and helpful wardens and great level pitches, and site very clean. It will become one of our favoured sites, will definitely return

Excellent trip again

Just back from having a 4 night stay here again. Fourth time on this site over last two years and just over four and a half hour run for us from Fife. One of our favourite sites and didn't fail us again. Site was busy which surprised us for this time of year but we still managed to get an excellent pitch (81) and again a lot of nice people and very friendly wardens out and about. Really handy for shops, discovering York, getting up into the surrounding area etc. Okay it's a busy area but you get to know the little lanes and shortcuts away from the A64 which make it much more pleasant. Definitely be back again next year.

Good Wardens

This was our first time at this site and we were very impressed. It is in a good location for York, near to the park and ride. It was well maintained but what impressed us the most were the wardens they were so friendly and could not do enough for you.

Another great stay here

We've returned after our 6th year here. The site is perfectly located for easy reach of York and the coast. The wardens are very friendly and work tirelessly maintaining the site. The children had a fantastic time at the Halloween Party which they went to the trouble of organising. I would thoroughly recommend staying here. We'll be back next year!

Good wardens

Nice stay at this site where wardens work tirelessly to keep it clean, neat and tidy, even holding a Halloween party for the children. The club do however need to address the issue that the showers ran out of hot water at 8.30 peak times, a cold shower in the morning is not good. Please be careful on the private road leading to and from the site which is full of pot holes.

Another great stay!!!

We visit this site every year in the autumn. Site is very well kept and maintained. Loads to do in local area making it perfect for families with children. Shopping is really good too with Monks Cross only 5 minutes away and York city centre around 10 minutes. Wardens very helpful and facilities very clean. Only downside, showers go cold after 5 minutes. Not sure if problem with boiler as not usually a problem. Hope to be back again next year.

Cannot fault this site.

We go to this site all the time .The wardens are so friendly - The toilet and shower block are spotless-The site itself is kept immaculate and we would recommend it without even having to think about it.
